Installation at Treehouse Urban Farm in Waldo! A bunch of hives to pollinate the farm and the whole area, and provide tons of free honey for farmer Nicolas Garcia. 💛🖤🐝 #beekeeping #bees #urbanfarm #urbanfarming

There will BEE honey!

@KCPS_Holliday has partnered with @BeeKC_Mo to place several bee houses on the grounds! (A safe distance away)

In addition to their school garden & school orchard, students can now learn firsthand about bee life cycles, honey production, pollination, etc.!

@kcpublicschools @kcps_Holliday Thank you for hosting, you're doing a great thing for the surrounding area! Very safe! And we'll be keeping them healthy & with plenty of room to grow, happy bees are gentle bees. 🖤💛🐝

Honey harvest time! This pic was taken at the lovely Drumm Farm, a working farm and foster community where kids in the system can spend some great years. We'll be doing more harvest events and workshops, keep an eye on the insta @ beekcmo. 💛🖤🍯🐝🐝🐝🐝

Western Landscaping is so antithetical to anything remotely good for the local ecology. The site I’m doing my food forest at, I spoke with the landscaper who had ripped up the first couple plants I put down (🙃) & he told me he has been putting SALT in the soil to stop the weeds

@q39 is the best! Super fun being on their roof and seeing customers looking up to see the hives! Those bees are really happy, even with all the hickory smoke 😉💛🖤🥩🐝🐝🐝

[Chef Philip Thompson @Chef_PhilipT]

Thanks to @BeeKC_MO we now have 6 hives on the roof of @Q39KC in Overland Park!

[Bee KC 🐝 @BeeKC_MO]

@Chef_PhilipT @Q39KC You guys are amazing for hosting them, thanks on beehalf of us and the surrounding square miles getting pollinated! 💛🖤🥩🐝🐝🐝

Great thread on hive product health benefits! Best of all, these can all be harvested without harming the colony 💛🖤🐝

[Ancestral Cosmetics @AncestralSkin]

Everything bees make is a top notch cosmetics product.

Honey
Propolis
Beeswax
Royal Jelly
Bee Pollen

Here’s why. 🧵

I knew bees were smart, but I didn't know they could spell! I guess they really like this city! 💛🖤🐝 #kc #kansascity #bees #beekeeping

Really important to remember that so many factors effect our pollinators, this is happening in many regions.

[Reuters @Reuters]

Rising temperatures, a decrease in precipitation and more frequent dust storms in Iraq have affected the environment that bees need to produce honey, lowering their productivity and the quality of the honey produced in the country, beekeepers say

Rooftop hives in downtown KC, first ones we've tried! Can't believe that in this economy a bunch of bees could afford downtown penthouses...🏢🐝🐝🐝 #bees #beekeeping #city #urban 💛🖤🐝
