I know you may say that no publicity is bad publicity, and perhaps the controversies are worthwhile because they drive engagement. But the broader question is this, what do you want to be remembered for?
There is nothing wrong with criticism. There is nothing wrong with correcting others. In fact, both are necessary. But criticism should come from a genuine desire to see things improve, not from a desire to undermine, belittle, or tear down.
As you tweet, post, and engage today, pause for a moment and ask yourself. when all of this is over, what will be your legacy? What will people remember you for? The noise you created, or the value you added?
