I've written 300+ stories in the past year with people around the world.
Here's what I learned.
"Who am I?" is the wrong question.
"What stories do I believe?" is the most powerful question for personal transformation.
Stories are bigger than the growth-hack gurus here.
@anthraxkix@ByYourLogic It’s also AI-written. Or written by a person who mostly reads AI-written content and has lost the ability to tell what’s good writing.
@KateBour 100%...the problem is "tell your story" advice is a lot like "draw the owl" advice. It takes some skill to tell a tight, relevant story that persuades.
@mehdirhasan Why is this so hard for people to understand? You could make the argument that the pardon was a failure of character, but for someone who sold pardons, this isn’t going to be the thing that opens the floodgates.
@KateBour Makes sense…it’s a good example of how understanding what’s in the audience’s mind is important.
What I ‘mean’ matters less than what my audience hears.
Good luck on the launch!
@kareem_carr Did Kant say this as well? I thought you were going to talk about the Categorical Imperative. This sounds more like Rawls’ Veil of Ignorance.
@DoctorHenryCT Sincere question, why WOULD he sign? He has no accountability, no more elections. I don’t think he cares about a legacy, because he can’t think beyond instant gratification.
He’s already gotten away with worse. This isn’t the government system we had 2 weeks ago
@TristanSnell That was the way we used to do things. Those days are gone, now. We’ll be seeing this more and more. American government existed BT and now exists AT.
@rainnyseattle Yes...you can buy strawberries, oranges, and tomatoes in January because we "don't import food".
Not the best at economics or biology, but hate is nailed down.
@kareem_carr Yes! Education, travel, and engaging with people different from me is how I learned that my fast, instinctive reactions were often faulty.
Without those experiences, I wouldn't have had the information to be aware of (and correct) my System 1 biases.
@batess@RafaelM78645367@JaneotN I always find that people with more than one number after their @ are the smartest, most legit, most absolutely-not-a-bot-or-shill people on this platform.
@JoshuaSteinman It is possible that foreign saboteurs decided to attack the link between Cincy and Kentucky…or like in Philly 2023, Atlanta 2017, Birmingham 20024/4, and Oakland 2007 it was an accident 🤷♂️
