@Truthful_ast I mean, no reuse yet, right? They have proven to be capable of recovering a booster, they just need to show being able to reuse it. Like New Glenn just did on NG-3. Still, with the speed of the chinese program we’ll probably see it before the end of summer.

@TurquoiseDarren@DanC47959098@thunderf00t Artemis is roughly 8 years behind schedule. And they’ve gotten 100 billion in funding vs starship’s measly 15 billion. Try building a fully reusable 100 ton LEO orbital class rocket in 8 years with 15 billion dollars. It’s not easy.
Should note that SpaceX will only try to catch the ship with the tower after two perfect soft landings in the ocean.
The risk of the ship breaking up over land needs to be very low.
