@Blutman27 This was only the third World Cup we ever qualified for. In '86 we didn't score. In '22 we scored twice but lost all three games. To make it to the round of 16, even with an easy schedule, was a massive achievement for the program. The Blut model can go kick rocks. Respectfully.
@mitchcopley@BarstoolBigCat Homan and Fleury (the Canadian third) were both terrible in the semis against Sweden. Looks like they're out for some redemption today.
@DeuceDoucette He played hockey and was good enough he could have pursued it at a D1 level if not for that whole football thing.

@slbeckett@cmaconthehill@NEWS1130 Did you read the press release? All they're asking for is airbnb to be held accountable to Canadian tax regulations. Seems pretty reasonable to me.
@moneyaftergrad Fantastic post but it references contributions and interest earned until age 65. Retiring at 55 you'd be looking at ~$500k which is a bit of a squeeze for a decade of expenses with rent included, even with OAS kicking in at age 60.
@moneyaftergrad Not saying you're wrong or anything. Just offering an alternate perspective of where home ownership brings value. If all of your investment eggs are in your house you are for sure going to have a bad time. Need to be investing as well.
@moneyaftergrad To me home ownership is an investment in an early retirement. Where does renter plan on living in retirement? Will they work until 65 when RRSP can be converted to RRIF? TFSA invested at maximum contribution rate may not be enough to coverage 10 years of expenses w/ rent.
