@mazyleaves If God of war has recycled enemies then you need to play literally any other game because it has a wider enemy variety than 99 percent of games. And the open world critique seems to come from ignorance/no experience if you thing it that's all it is
@Extremoblando_ Compared to other open world rpgs the Witcher 3s combat is near the top. There are action adventure games that offer less in an open world game that does combat worse like RDR2 where the game just auto aims for you and trying to move the character quickly if futile
@ashenbeast1985 Every major PC release is just a survival crafting heavy based game just under different aesthetics (Subnautica, Windrose, Tencent Horizon, Valheim, Satisfactory, etc.) They all just include enough gameplay to fit the aesthetic but 50 percent of the game is crafting nonetheless
@oTulkas You're talking about two different types of games. One achieved everything it aimed for while the other is great but not quite flawless in execution
@justxavierisunc No disrespect to the gamers but it has been publicly mentioned millions of times that when critics review a game they review it off of what the game tries to achieve and the gameplay/genre it's based on. So with this info it's not good to be willfully ignorant
@JamesResEvil The levels are massive and take hours to progress through and so you traverse through large chunks of the city with many buildings and streets and lots of verticality all while having open level design and denseness to its playable areas the most open worlds don't come close
