CHANGE OF GUARD: MUKALAZI TAKES OVER FROM ANITE:
The New Minister of State for Privatization and Investment, Hajjat Amina Mukalazi has today assumed Office.
The Outgoing Minister of State for Privatization and Investment,@Anite__Evelyn handed over Office to Hajjat Mukalazi at a ceremony witnessed by the PSST Dr. @rggoobi
The Incoming State Minister thanked His Excellency the President of the Republic of Uganda @KagutaMuseveni for the confidence and trust he put in her to serve the country in this important role.
She expressed her sincere appreciation to @Anite__Evelyn for her dedicated service, commitment & contribution to Uganda's privatization and investment agenda.
Hon.Mukalazi pledged to focus on strengthening Uganda's investment climate by working closely with investors, government agencies, and development partners to address the prevailing bottlenecks and also enhance investor confidence.
She also pledged to promote and prioritise value-addition investments that create jobs for Ugandans,in addition to supporting industrialisation and export promotion.
The Outgoing State Minister Hon. Anite on her part thanked the Ministry’s technical team for the support during her tenure that saw the expansion of Namanve industrial park, the birth of Mbale industrial park and other subsequent parks.
She pledged to continue support the incoming Minister as she settles in to do her work.
The PSST expressed gratitude to Hon. Anite for her service and dedication to promoting and championing the investment agenda.
Dr. Ggoobi also thanked Anite for leaving the Ministry with stronger investor relations and a clear roadmap for attracting and promoting investment in the country.
He wished her success in the next assignment, pledging support where needed.
Dr Ggoobi welcomed and congratulated the incoming Minister,noting that her docket is pivotal in accelerating the growth of the economy and a key enabler to achieving the 10-fold growth strategy.

IMPROVING EXECUTION OF OUR DEVELOPMENT AGENDA:
During FY 2026/27,we will be completing the unfinished business especially in the following areas:
➡️Stamping out budget games that breed corruption by strengthening budget forecasting,internal controls and audits.
➡️Closing leakages in routine expenditures such as transfers to schools,health centres and the payroll.
➡️Diversifying sources of development finance,including tapping into innovative financing.
➡️Completing public procurement reforms to make public procurement efficient,transparent and corruption free.
➡️Increasing domestic revenue mobilisation to improve our capacity to finance public investments.
➡️Improving project execution to enhance absorption of borrowed funds.
➡️Strengthening the capacity of @UNBSug to undertake certification of products to guarantee standards for exports and the domestic market.
