Singing two controlled vocalized notes at the same time!
German singer Anna-Maria Hefele stunned the world with a viral video showcasing polyphonic overtone singing, a vocal technique that lets her sing two notes at once.
By skillfully shaping her mouth, tongue, and throat, she amplifies harmonics above a base pitch, producing clear, flute-like tones.
Trained at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Hefele has since performed worldwide, blending art, science, and education.
Her unique voice has been studied through MRI imaging and praised for its precision and beauty. Through concerts, workshops, and research, she continues to expand the boundaries of what the human voice can do.
I have a place in Glen Ellen in Sonoma and this past weekend I walked over to Poppy, the new restaurant of what used to be The Fig Cafe.
I look up and the artwork catches my eye. I ask about it and the waiter said it was created by the owner. I was pretty sure it was AI, but I didn't want to offend by asking and of course I have no issue with it but love AI art.
Finally I did some googling today and found the owner's personal website and it is AI! Plus I discovered she follows me already!
So this is a shoutout to @4Kurious that I saw your artwork at Poppy (formerly The Fig Cafe) and of course love The Girl and The Fig (we even have a VIP membership!).
I hope to meet you IRL someday in Glen Ellen!
