Gwadar and Makran are the most egalitarian parts of Baluchistan, misunderstood by those who do not know the history. It was a part of Khanate of Kalat before an Omani prince sought refuge, got the throne in Oman, and refused to return it to the Khanate. If you want to go by history, then Karachi should be a part of Baluchistan instead of Sindh… just saying!

The joint venture developmental project of PKR 3.4 billion for uplifting of old town Gwadar is underway with a 50% matching grant by the Provincial Government. Held a khuli kachehri (open public gathering) in my hometown Buleda Kech, alongwith Commissioner Makran, Deputy Commissioner Kech and administrative heads of various Govt Departments to listen and resolve the public issues and complaints at their doorsteps in accordance with the vision of PPP Chairman @BBhuttoZardari. Public service delivery is top priority of Provincial Govt under CM @PakSarfrazbugti. Public concerns related to development projects have been addressed and with their ownership , several development projects are under execution and near-completion despite of security challenges.

Chaired a meeting of working group on Balochistan’s first-ever Fisheries Policy and Legislation, including the parliamentarians, policy-makers and international organisations, mainly addressing the genuine concerns of fisherfolk & coastal natives against trawling. The fisheries’ policy will focus on the conservation of endangered species and management of marine fisheries resources, protection of marine eco-system, implementation and monitoring of sustainable management and responsible fishing practices, ensuring food security, climate change and maximising profitability of the sector and fish production.
