How do you teach 9/11 without actually teaching about 9/11?
“Teaching Beyond September 11th,” developed through the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education, is being promoted and used as a resource for classrooms across the country.
We looked closely at what it teaches students—and what it leaves out.
The findings raise serious questions about whether students are being taught to understand 9/11, or being taught a particular ideological framework through it.
NAVI’s full report breaks it down. Our Action Guide shows you what you can do about it.
China spent $343,939,824 lobbying the U.S. government between 2020 and 2024.
Saudi Arabia spent $189,879,695 during that period.

Obsessed with Israel's "influence" in America? Check yourself. Your antisemitism is showing.
Amen.
Netanyahu has finally decided to speak, to show up to the information war, to be clear and specific about Israel’s goals and intentions - and also admit its dilemmas.
Yes, it’s almost two years too late. Yes, the worst, most incompetent and most extreme parts of Israel’s political class were left to speak for us all in the gaping chasm of information that Netanyahu chose to create for some narrow political and personality reasons.
But in the end, these maddening failures don’t change the strategic calculus. We are a people rendered invincible by our enemies’ very desire to destroy us.
Every time we set our enemies’ efforts back to square one, they reassure themselves of their own “patience” as the secret to our eventual demise. They never consider the possibility that we too are patient; that we too have generational faith and bottomless solidarity and a willingness to suffer and triumph - indeed, that they hold steadfast in Tehran or Tyre or Sanaa or Khan Younis only by oppressing their own people, whereas we are resilient even as a cacophonous democracy - and thus that time may actually be on our side; and finally, that their only path to any kind of success begins in setting aside the genocidal fantasy of our destruction.
The obvious corollary to this great truth is that no Israeli setback is unfixable. There is time enough to correct, time for wisdom, for building out of this destruction, out of the fantasies about us that built Hezbollah and Hamas and produced October 7, and out of our grim response to the neverending demand for our obliteration, a better future for us and everyone who surrounds us.
And yes, a rebuilt Gaza will be part of that better future.
Those who prioritize our destruction turned beautiful Lebanon into a failed, impoverished state. Those who prioritize our destruction made talented, energy-rich Iran into an incompetent and destitute laughingstock. Those who prioritize our destruction turned Gaza into the most fortified urban battlefield in history.
Those who prioritize our destruction will only ever destroy their own. So it was three generations ago, so it remains today. All the good that we can imagine becomes available to all of us only when the driving catalyst of all this evil - the demand to destroy us - ends.
“Antisemitism reminds us that we are different,” observes researcher David Wolfowicz. “But only Judaism can tell us why." What does it mean to be Jewish?https://t.co/XUyBBGVz6c
Excited to have my piece included in the latest volume of @SapirJournal alongside some of my favourite writers. https://t.co/SGaqLtMCiP
The post October 7 reality, especially for millennial Jews, has been one of heightened awareness of Jewishness. The primary vehicle for this heightened awareness has been antisemitism. As heartened as I have been to see many young Jews reengage in Jewish spaces, much of what I see is collective action to “fight” antisemitism, not engage in active Jewishness.
Fighting antisemitism is a fruitless task precisely because of what antisemitism is— an alarm that calls Jews to fulfill their unique role in society and help the world confront its own identity crisis. It cannot be fought, only heeded.
Please check out my piece along with the other brilliant essays on 'Chosenness' in the latest issue of @SapirJournal
@songsofyoni Yes. But that would only be possible in a world where 4 out of the 5 listed hadn't spent the past several years saying they will not sit with Bibi and that he *is* the extreme Right.
@Adderabbi Let's not forget their stated desire to make headways in the treasury. The treasury. With zero fiscal knowledge. If we thought Israel was already expensive...
Gender has nothing whatsoever to do with genitals, which is why it is imperative that those with incorrect genitals have access to gender affirming surgeries ASAP.
In case it wasn't already abundantly clear, the new Obi-Wan Kenobi series has once again confirmed that everything good that @Disney touches turns to shit.
