We have to disagree.

If @Litecoin or @Dogecoin were to launch today, they would struggle to obtain exchange listings. Not because they aren't great projects, but because exchanges are pay-walling great projects.

The Pepecoin blockchain is a very successful project. The stats speak for themselves.

- 2600 nodes
- 3PH/s network hashrate on the Scrypt algorithm
- Merge minable with LTC and DOGE
- 50,000 community members

Other projects like @kaspaunchained are also struggling to obtain T1 listings due to the "pay-wall problem".

The purpose of an exchange is to provide value to their users by having a healthy selection of cryptocurrencies to trade. If exchanges refuse to list great projects with low market caps, how does that benefit users?

Meme tokens with huge preallocations are paying extremely high listing fees. This inflates listing fees even higher and incentivizes and arguably requires unfair launches just to pay fees.

Fairly launched projects are expected to pay these fees as well. If they can't they are often ignored.

DEXs do not paywall projects and that's how L2 tokens are able to obtain incredible market caps in a very short period of time. Only after they reach these high market caps on DEXs are the CEXs interested in listing.

This puts L1 projects, not compatible with DEXs, at a severe disadvantage.

It's very easy to say "just build", but when you block access to where traders actually are, you force projects to resort to small less reputable exchanges like @Xeggex and @TradeOgre putting their communities at risk.

Both of those exchanges shut down in 2025 after running for years.

This is a very real problem @cz_binance.
