I came across a theory that AI is starting to make more mistakes because the internet is increasingly polluted with AI slop. The idea of AI cannibalising itself into obscurity is one of my favourite things ever. I hope it is true and I hope it becomes impossible to fix.

We want clean water. We want a stable climate. We want a habitable planet. We want wildlife to survive. We want to live.
Tim Sweeney is criticizing Valve again over Steam’s requirement for developers to disclose their use of generative AI.
The Epic Games CEO called the policy “abhorrent,” arguing that developers are being forced to make a “political statement” that could be used against them by a “hate mob.”
Sweeney has been criticizing the policy since 2025, previously comparing the disclosure to a “Scarlet Letter” and arguing that AI will eventually be part of almost every game production process.

GOP Ohio Governor Mike DeWine slams Vivek Ramaswamy's ad featuring Amy Acton's abusive mother:
"The ad is deeply troubling. But when you know the rest of the story, it just makes it more wrong. It's wrong to run this."
my sister is a 4th grade teacher and her district made her show her class a bullying prevention PSA that was 100% ai slop and they all heckled the screen and shouted “you wasted water for THIS?!?” and “we got ai slop in class before gta 6” the whole time. the kids are alright ❤️
@mattworkman It just needs regulation, that's all.
I recognize it can be a valuable tool in certain workflows.
But unregulated, the world is feeling increasingly dystopian for its mass adoption and frankly a ton of consumer and corporate misuse 😮💨
