Swooping in with big news today:
@Checkout_WC
is joining Kestrel! We're so excited to welcome them and work together to help #WooCommerce stores sell their way.
Tonnes of work has gone into this, and it's shaping up really nicely! Big thanks to Beka from @KestrelWP and Patrick from @mindsizeme for the initial consultations on scoping this out. Plus HUGE thanks to @tpaksu for all his engineering work on this ๐๐ป
@ianmisner@neke989@jamesckemp SkyVerge has a free version with just sequential numbers. This is a legal requirement in some countries (eg Spain requires sequential invoice numbers). The pro version was built to add format when selling in multiple channels / req for syncing elsewhere + to skip free orders
@neke989@ianmisner@KatieKeithBarn2@archieabrams@SRHDesign@WPProductTalk FWIW I think thatโs very hard to do well, bc users will always question how price is determined and can see it as a tax on their earnings. Makes more sense if your appโs role is clearer, eg a post purchase upsell.
Just finished a fantastic episode of @WPProductTalk, in which special guest @Beka_Rice from @KestrelWP provided a huge wealth of actionable advice on creating the perfect pricing strategy for any WordPress or SaaS product. Lots of ideas I hadn't heard before ๐ก

Constellation (our new memberships solution for WooCommerce) made the Seshies nomination list, which means it's inarguably one of the five best plugins in the entire world. Go vote for whoever you want (but especially us): https://t.co/RgPfWNLonw
Hey, join us as @jamesckemp hosts his first Woo Product chat with @Beka_Rice and @pmgarman for a behind the scenes what they are working on @WooCommerce that the community doesn't get to generally hear about. You can expect this one every month :) https://t.co/Smh0wPSBGq
@verygoodplugins@KatieKeithBarn2 lol those would be some impressive mental gymnastics given plugin devs never give any rights / licenses like that, and remember .org isnโt part of the foundation anyway
@Rarst @ZillowFights it does change the experience, yes. Just clarifying itโs not like a transparent aff ID replacement, a lot of plugins and hosts used to do that
@Rarst @ZillowFights It lets you use stripeโs hosted checkout page instead of the woo one (donโt know of a plugin that does). For a simple seller it prob converts better, itโs much nicer than the default, but havenโt used myself in prod
@JS_Zao@cdils@jkoussertari@pat_ramsey I get that there *might* have been ways for some of it we didnโt think of, we def tried very hard to create the most modern woo theme possible and itโs just not worth the effort
@JS_Zao@cdils@jkoussertari@pat_ramsey But then doing things like more complex filtering of a query is straight up miserable. We found hard blockers just in how coupled data is to UI โ itโs pretty much impossible to create some designs that are more dynamic than just rendering static blog content
