For staff who have moved from across the world to work at UCD (aka Ireland's Global University) the UCD Common Room has provided a ready made social network, a real one. For those of us who have immigrated to Ireland to work in academia, this place has been a surrogate family

With less than ten days to go until our eviction, contingency plans are going into operation. The #UCD Common Room will remain in existence as a member-run social community. This cannot be taken away from us by management. Watch this space for pop-up lunches & social evenings.
