When you don't pay for bail, they will keep telling you to report to their office every morning because investigation is still ongoing. Or they demand a surety you can't provide.
Sometimes, it feels less like justice and more like punishment if you don't pay. We know this game.

@IkejaElectric 2. the entire community is intentionally plunged into a total blackout for about seven days. Unfortunately, the same situation has started again this month.
If this is indeed a deliberate practice, it is unfair to customers and raises serious ethical concerns.
@IkejaElectric 1.Speaking abt ethics and the speaking up, I'd like to bring your attention to a recurring issue with the handling of power supply in the Ladipo/Shogunle area.
For the past five months, I have observed a pattern where, as the end of each month approaches,
I'm writing about this again because I genuinely think banks need to review the policy of asking one employee to resign simply because two staff members decide to get married, even when they work in different units, different reporting lines, or even different zones.
During my time at UBA, a colleague in Sales got married to a lady in Operations.
HR did not ask anyone to resign. Nobody lost their job because the bank policy permits it.
Management simply transferred the husband to another branch within the same city.
This addressed any possible conflict of interest without ending anyone's career.
Last week, a lady sent me a message here.
She and her fiancé both work in the same bank and are ready to get married, but they have put their plans on hold because one of them has to secure another job first.
One person is also finding it difficult to resign without a Job, they both have a great career.
That should not be the choice people have to make.
Banks should be able to accommodate situations like this, especially when both employees are not in the same unit or do not have a direct reporting relationship.
Most bankers spend the greater part of their lives at work.
This is even more true for people in Operations, where the workload is intense and the hours are long.
The people they see every day are colleagues and customers.
Naturally, those are the relationships that are most likely to grow into something meaningful.
Over the years, I have met many female bankers in their early and mid-thirties who are still unmarried. Not because they do not want to settle down, but because work leaves them with very little time to meet people outside the office.
It is no surprise that many eventually marry a colleague or a customer they met through work.
Love should not become a reason for someone to lose a job they have worked so hard to build.
If one bank can manage the situation through transfers and proper governance, I believe others can review their policies and adopt a similar approach.

@AshE_Nuel There's is a difference between Next of Kin and a Beneficiary. For the lady to directly access her mum's fund, she needs to be listed as a beneficiary. Next of Kin is just meant to be contacted in case of emergencies.

Banks are making a lot of money from dead people.
A lady lost her mom since July last year and she buried her and never cared to even check her mom's account.
4 months later, she received a random message from the bank in her mom's phone, nothing serious was in it. Just normal code text.
She then checked other messages and she found out 20Million was sitting there. So she went to the bank.
I'm very sure the bank must be furious when she came to ask for it, they started asking for documents and more documents.
She's the next of kin, why does she have to go through so much, she kept going to the bank for days. No response.
This lady was so frustrated that she was getting tired of the demands from the hospital.
She was later paid the money only after involving high profile people which is very sad.
Banks can do better please. This is one case, their are more cases too.
