👮🗳️It is exactly two weeks until the election in which the people of the Thames Valley will decide who sets the direction of the police over the next four years. Here is why I am standing...
Much of our farm has been under water since October. The wheat we planted is now rotten, the maize from last year not silaged.
Our neighbours have given up growing barley and gone with environmental schemes.
This is why I keep asking who is going to feed Britain? Once the EU import checks dry up EU foods, where will the food come from?
In today’s chaos I forgot to mention that Rachel Maclean was sacked as housing minister for the tweet below that she put out. Or at least that is what Downing St told her. She was of course celebrating her own government’s plan. But she did so before King Charles spoke, and that it seems was a sackable breach of protocol - though not, presumably, when Downing St does it!
@implausibleblog Why does nobody ever ask the question "Why can't we open processing centres in France?" The French have offered) It would end boat crossings overnight. The fact is the Tories love the boats. It gives them so much opportunity for performative cruelty. "We'll save you!" rhetoric!
The National Audit Office claim that the Government have lost up to
£58,000,000,000 to fraud
FIFTY EIGHT BILLION !!
This is why the government wants to talk about migration!
#GeneralElectionNow
Is #RishiSunak going to have the courage to remove the whip from #Tory Deputy Chairman #LeeAnderson for saying the government should ignore the Supreme Court unanimous judgement that the #Rwanda plan is illegal, by putting planes in the air today?
We are not a lawless dictatorship!
++BREAKING NEWS++
8 Million people marched on London today to demand the UK be given the opportunity to rejoin the EU.
The Marche was ENTIRELY peaceful, unlike the anti ULEZ protest earlier.
Failure to report otherwise will be taken as acceptance of this as fact @BBCNews

There has been superb coverage today on @FRANCE24 of the thousands taking part in todays #MarchForRejoin in London. They have put @BBCNews to absolute shame & even ask in this report where the other broadcasters are!
So not even a brief mention on @BBCNews tonight of the massive #RejoinMarch in London with many 1000s demonstrating to reverse Brexit.
The people the Tories placed in BBC management have done their job.
Rishi Sunak has decided that the £14.9bn of PPE fraud cannot be investigated & has written it all off
This is the same amount of money as the entire budget for General Practice & Primary care for a year
Imagine writing off 330million consultations, GPs, Nurses etc for a year
Last night, I was proud to present our petition to the House of Commons, opposing controversial plans to close rail ticket offices.
These appalling proposals are the worst thing to happen to our railways since the Beeching cuts in the 1960s.
They must be stopped.
Might have gone under the radar - but unbelievable that the government 'timed out' a vote on an amendment to the Economic Crime Bill aimed at supporting enforcement agencies going after economic criminals.
There're an estimated 3.7m incidents of fraud experienced by adults aged 16 and over in the year ending Sept 2022 - approximately 41% of estimated crime!
Another injustice - time for change

Disappointing from @PeterKyle. Lib Dems are proud to have brought in equal marriage ten years ago almost to the day and are allies of the whole LGBT+ community. To suggest we would weaponise equality issues is a utterly against our values.
"UK fails to ban 36 harmful pesticides outlawed for use in EU"
30 were banned by the EU since we left, but not by us, and 6 were approved by the Tories despite an EU ban.
What a Brexit dividend! We get worse quality food. British food exports get hurt. https://t.co/zjcuMjxTEN
Thank goodness for Woke Watch 😂Some woke hippy from Grantham (Margaret Thatcher) here saying “the environmental challenge which confronts the whole world demands an equivalent response from the whole world” 1989
Gosh what a Leftie 🤔🤔 @ProfRayWills

Sovereignty Means Sewage!
1. In the EU, our sewage had to be treated before being released.
2. Brexit made it harder to get the treatment chemicals.
3. Brexiters didn't want to admit any Brexit problems.
4. So they passed a law to release untreated sewage.
5. The rest is history
An affordable housing project by Marvel Architects in Far Rockaway shows that affordable housing can be well designed, with ample shared public spaces and a variety of building heights to add to the character of each individual tower.

The trouble is that even discounting the moral calamity of scrapping policies designed to keep air breathable, water drinkable, and ensuring we have a functioning planet to live on, the numbers just don’t add up for the Tories.
