24/ The same is true for BAYC, for squiggles, for cool cats, for wassies, for toadz.
NFTs are a combination of identity and social organization, with zero membership criteria, fully global, composable.
Anyone can make a product for punks to opt-in to
23/ The 10,000 punks are a open publicly-readable, but pseudonymous, database of people who most strongly believe certain things about crypto, about NFTs and about the future
Think about that
Then think about that again
Then think about that again until your jaw hits the floor
12/ What do I yearn for?
That our children and grandchildren will remain free.
That they will remain sovereign beings.
That we don't sleepwalk into a panopticon society controlled by a handful of people with "God view" of a big data, machine-learning enabled system.
11/ “If you want to build a ship, don't drum up the men to gather wood, divide the work and give orders. Instead, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea.”

3) You are often investing in things that aren’t companies at all
Most cloud-based services have trust assumptions embedded in them.

Private keys then become like fallout shelters. Protect against *their* bad government, not yours.
We are just entering the stage of social networks with conscious network nationalism.
Where citizens of social networks recruit citizens from other networks, and battle rival networks economically in ever more organized ways.
We expect the winner of a big popularity contest to be a brilliant general, a savvy budgeter, a visionary leader. What we actually get is more like an actor.
A post by @scholars_stage reminded me of this quote.
I am a bit skeptical of his proposed project though — namely reading 13 books to know why the US failed. The state failed in Afghanistan because it fails at everything, especially physical things. https://t.co/0Bht7hJ1lt
