On June 17, 1775, New England soldiers faced the British army for the first time in a pitched battle. Popularly known as "The Battle of Bunker Hill," bloody fighting took place throughout a hilly landscape of fenced pastures that were situated across the Charles River from Boston.
Though the British forces claimed the field, the casualties inflicted by the Provincial solders from Massachusetts, Connecticut and New Hampshire were staggering.
Their courage rallied support across the 13 colonies and showed the world this was more than a rebellion—it was the first step toward American Independence.
As we approach the 250th anniversary of the United States, the Bunker Hill Monument, part of Boston National Historical Park, stands tall as a lasting symbol of American sacrifice, determination and the fight for liberty. 🇺🇸
🎉 250 Years Strong! 🇺🇸
Today, we celebrate 250 years of courage, commitment, and sacrifice. From 1775 to 2025, the U.S. Army has stood ready to defend freedom, at home and around the world.
Today we honor the legacy of the Soldiers who came before and the next generation who will carry the torch.
Will you be part of the next 250? Visit https://t.co/efvq4SQH5c to learn how you can serve, lead, and make history.

Honored to be recognized, apparently talking about “Cones of Depression” nonstop finally paid off. If you’ve ever endured a natural resource committee hearing on water, you deserve to vote for me for “Best Government Lobbyist.”

“Give me liberty, or give me death!” These immortal words were spoken by none other than Patrick Henry, one of the most fiery and influential voices of the American Revolution. But there’s far more to Henry than just one speech.
Let’s dive in. 🧵🇺🇸 #AmRev

I have watched every college football game that matters — and tons that don’t — for the entire targeting era. How is this not targeting? Legit would love to hear this explained. It’s textbook.
