I have worked as a mental health nurse for 20 years. Here is a thread of tweets about how to do stuff such as looking after yourself. Some are evidence-based, some are anecdotal. Might be of use. #mentalhealthmatters
I am breaking my twitter silence to share a new entry in my grief blog, info about CBT that may be of use to others. I finished therapy, for now (find me on Istagram) "After Therapy" https://t.co/bIXmNmJMGT #bereavement#grief
Gonna give Twitter a break. I’ve unfollowed many who shared negativity but still see retweets about so much suffering. It is my job to help disenfranchised people and I need more peace in the rest of my life for my mental health. I’m off to Instagram. Take care. X
@vonny_bravo I agree Vonny. I love hip hop and heavy metal but have dropped a lot after clarification of the artists’ views. To me it’s about empathy- how could I enjoy listening if I know a musician is disgusting? Surely it leaves a nasty taste. Fuck The Smiths, there’s a lot of other music!
.@annamcnuff's #BareFootBritain journey's continuing from Inverness today! We chatted poo, strong arches and ‘running like a swan’ when we caught up with her before she set off 💩 🦢

@laptheloughCFT It’s really beautiful Andy, defo worth it. A fantastic range of scenery and terrain. And Happy Birthday. Might see you at Lap the Lough.

A gorgeous sunset on this summer solstice and a well prepped bike have bolstered my spirits for tomorrow’s #causewaycoastsportive I’m excited, nervous and twitchy as hell. 100km ride around the beautiful Irish coastline, here I come.

Same here- “how can I contribute? I need to talk to my son in a new way but what do I say? How do I help to make sure this doesn’t happen again?” #anakriegal
@MaiaDunphy There is a definite and real possibility these children can be fully rehabilitated but this partially depends on their ongoing anonymity. My gut says they should never get out but my mental health training knows they can learn and change for the best, forever. A horrible case.
@RockofLifeNI Thanks for bringing my attention to this campaign and to Stella Creasy’s excellent work as a pro-choice activist. I appreciate you pointing me in this direction.
This is a truly awesome collaboration of art and science about the inevitable descent into entropy. “Nothing happens and it keeps not happening forever”.
