@gridcustomersuk After having power back, we’re now off again in SA431FF…totally get the impact of the storm initially and how hard you have all worked, but surely we shouldn’t be back in the dark!! I can’t keep replacing freezers and fridges of food
@Stacy8012 I’ve annoyingly got a gap between PCSO and SC, and because my HQ staff service isn’t recognised for these I would imagine that’s where it’ll fall down
"we’ve got 4,000 staff vacancies and we’ve got 6,000 police officers that are in roles that should be done by police staff"
This is caused in part by the politics of officer numbers trumping questions of how to most efficiently and effectively structure the #policeworkforce.

A manhunt to trace Abdul Shokoor Ezedi is under way. He is wanted in connection with a corrosive substance attack in Clapham.
If you see Ezedi, call 999 immediately. He should NOT be approached.
Ezedi is believed to have sustained significant injuries to the right side of his face.
We are working with partner agencies and forces including the @BTP to locate and arrest him.

Highlighting some of the findings in the Baroness Casey review, Paul said:
“Leaders seemed more concerned about hitting recruitment target numbers for financial reasons than about meeting objectives to address demand pressures"

Some work news! Pleased to say I’m now @TimesRadio’s political producer working across the station with @KateEMcCann as our new political editor.
Continue to lead on our flagship politics programme Sunday Morning too.
Fun year ahead. 🥳
A couple of years ago I burnt out. Hard.
I didn’t see it coming to be honest with you. This Job can absorb you. You get so wound up in the adrenaline & pace of calls you forget to switch off & importantly rest.
This is your reminder, to take a break and look after you. 👀💯☀️🚨
So year 2 of #PCDA begins. It’s no secret that I’m a critic of #PEQF and the whole insistence on police officers completing a degree or diploma in their first years of a huge new career, and it’s safe to say that the first days of year 2 have not changed my view on it’s value
There has been much talk of police legitimacy and public confidence. We work hard to maintain this, we work hard to do the job we signed up to do, for the public. We need to be allowed to dedicate our time to that, not this.
Clearly I’ll point out that these are only my views.
