The loss of Ranunculus, AKA water crowfoot is a sign of an unhealthy river. The ranunculus harbours invertebrates that fish feed on. What’s worse is that it’s loss and the addition of nitrates in fertilisers triggers algal blooms which are toxic #rivers #pollution #wye #severn
