@argyle_analyst Yep, said weeks ago we really need a boring, high volume passer in centre mid, who just keeps the ball moving quickly and keeps possession. Doesn’t need to be anything fancy and it gives the players in front / full backs licence to push forward.

@Ollieargyle9 All 3 are bad (particularly the first), but in the second clip, Randell just trots alongside him and should be charging into the space wide left. Our central midfield just don’t have any attacking instincts. Far too conservative.

@argyle_analyst Is it a depressed value? Been average since April ‘24 (albeit in a bad team). His peak value last January was probs £12.5m, £10m in summer (but nobody offered it). We’re getting £8m (inc. add ons) now + a decent sell on %. Seems about right but maybe £1-2m short after his antics?

Going against the grain slightly, but if those add ons are achievable, £4m + sell on for a player who wants to leave, won’t sign a new deal & will be available for free next year, is probably about right in the circumstances. Every penny should go into the playing budget. #pafc
