That AI will become better able to take work from artists over time is pretty likely.

And to make matters worse, these AI programs are trained on real artists’ work. They are literally using what we create anyway, but not paying us for it, and producing a cheap imitation. These AI artworks would NOT EXIST without the original art they were trained on.
