@FrankTumwebazek @Parliament_Ug We need more funding to irrigtion. With the current climate change. I appreciate gov't efforts already in place lie SMaRT but still more needs to be done. 20% farmer contribution is still high

Made a case earlier this morning on the floor of @Parliament_Ug for increasing our investments in irrigation. Our irrigation uptake is still below 2% . While in the past, irrigation infrastructure development wasn't a much considered priority because of the God given predictable weather, now it's very urgent due to the adverse effects of climate change . We must stabilize agriculture, we must feed and hydrate our soils so that they can feed us back sustainably.

Did you ever hold, or do you currently hold, Canadian and/or Rwandan citizenship?
If you previously held another citizenship and have since renounced it in order to qualify for ministerial office, then the matter is straightforward: provide Parliament with documentary proof of the renunciation or cancellation.

There is no need to impute motives, allege hatred, or raise the political temperature over what is essentially a factual question. Public office carries public accountability, and questions about eligibility are legitimately answered with evidence. #UgandaGovernedByLaw

Peter Paul Emaju (Kasilo County) in Serere district asked the administration at Parliament to explain if the budget allocated for travels abroad for MPs also sets aside money for MPs spouses to accompany them when they leave the country. However, Adolf Mwesige, Clerk to Parliament replied saying the travel budget only caters for the MPs and not spouses and this limit can only be lifted if the Administration of Parliament’s Act is amended to extend the privileges to their spouses.

@KagutaMuseveni Hon Apolot Christine the DWMP Kumi district deserved to be appointed Minister, she has agood truck record of championing the fight gainst Corruption.Won award for the best performing local gov't district chairperson, she was the second best female leader in fighting corruption.
