@SkySports_Keith It's too late in the window for clubs to let a striker go and replace them. The only chance would be players with release clauses which are more common in the foreign leagues. Would be nice to have someone with Premier League pedigree but seems unlikely now.

@Chelsearory Yes but its all relative and timing... I started watching in about 95. There was a 10 year period where Newcastle were either title challenging, top 4/6. If there was such a thing as a 'big 6' or if psr had come in during that 10 year period then Newcastle would be one of them.

Also in premier league era they've had two 2nd places, multiple European campaigns, 4 Cup finals, one of the biggest stadiums, loudest fan bases, record attendances in the championship etc etc. Not massive obviously but definitely a 'big club'
