But as it stands, it's a public knowledge that he's just a backup option and not really a priority whereas he's prioritized and respected at Inter.

@LSDWN6 Chelsea knew Varane was available and opted not to go for him. Chelsea are planning for the future and Christensen is the only young CB they have. Kounde has about 3 yrs left on his contract with a release clause of €85m. Varane could be free agent next summer.
