Dear FIA, I’m a passionate F1 fan who’s been watching for decades, and right now I’m fucking furious. These 2026 regulations are absolute garbage. It feels like you’re treating every single fan like a bunch of idiots who’ll cheer for whatever “sustainable” nonsense you shove down our throats. We’re not enjoying it one bit, and guess what? Most of the drivers aren’t either. The ridiculous obsession with constant recharging and that massive electrical bullshit has killed the raw thrill of racing. But what really pisses me off is how dangerously reckless this whole thing is. Picture a massive high-speed crash at 320 km/h in Monza or Spa. The battery pack gets smashed to hell and ruptures, we’ve already seen nasty hybrid fires, but now with way more electrical energy on board, it turns into a toxic, uncontrollable inferno. Drivers could be trapped and burned alive before the marshals even get close. Or an electrical glitch hits right in the middle of an overtake: sudden power cut or a crazy torque spike from the motor, and the car spins out of control straight into the barriers or another car at full speed. That’s exactly how you get horrific pile-ups and career-ending (or worse) injuries. And it’s even worse on tight street circuits like Vegas, Baku or Singapore. Those walls are right there, no runoff, no room for error. With these stupid energy management rules and huge speed differences from battery depletion, one sudden power loss or wild torque spike and you’re slamming into concrete at insane closing speeds. Carlos Sainz has already warned you about this exact nightmare on those tracks. We were lucky today with Ollie’s 50G accident in Suzuka, imagine that shit in Baku, Singapore or Vegas next to the walls. It’s a disaster waiting to happen. And don’t even get me started on the drivers. Max Verstappen has been ripping into these cars nonstop – calling them “Formula E on steroids,” “anti-racing,” a “joke,” and saying he’s not enjoying driving at all. He’s so fed up he’s even exploring other things because the whole thing feels empty. Lando Norris went from loving the old cars to calling these “probably the worst” and the racing “chaos.” Fernando Alonso, Lewis Hamilton, Carlos Sainz, Esteban Ocon and plenty more have all complained it’s too much babysitting energy instead of proper flat-out driving, no fun, no soul, just artificial bullshit. You’re forcing this overcomplicated electrical experiment on the grid while the best drivers in the world are saying it sucks, it’s not real F1, and it’s dangerous as hell, especially on those unforgiving street tracks. This isn’t progress, it’s reckless, boring as hell, and a massive insult to every fan and driver who actually loves real Formula 1. Fix this disaster right fucking now. Give us back proper speed, proper sound, proper racing, and real safety. Stop treating us like morons with these fucking stupid regulations. We’re beyond fed up.
