I know most won't take the time to read all of this, but it has been irritating me hearing people misinform others. So, I am not telling you flat out that XRP is the “ultimate token,” nor am I saying the others have no future, because with even a little effort and research, we know that's false.
What I am telling you is that, among the networks compared here, only one explicitly gives its native token this particular role within the protocol itself: XRP.
That does not guarantee XRP will become the world's bridge asset, nor does it diminish what Stellar, Canton, Quant, Hedera or XDC are designed to accomplish. It simply means we should stop pretending their native tokens were all designed to perform exactly the same job. Their own documentation tells us otherwise. 📑

Stellar's documentation explains that path payments can traverse the SDEX and/or liquidity pools, potentially using several intermediary assets. Its example is:

XLM → ETH → BTC → USDC

So XLM can function as an intermediary, but Stellar's routing system can use other intermediary assets rather than requiring XLM to occupy the common bridge position.
