I used to be a total classroom person. Loved the energy, loved seeing my students face to face every day. But at some point I just got tired of the commute eating up my mornings and evenings, and I started wondering… what if I could do this from my couch instead?
But the flexibility and freedom made it 100% worth it.
I’ve been logging my journey (and getting certified along the way) through https://t.co/nwR3Id910Q — if you’re thinking about making the same switch, it’s a solid place to start.
Would I go back to a physical classroom
No hallway noise, no bell schedules — just me, my laptop, and a student ready to learn.
Was it a smooth transition? Not always. I had to figure out how to stay motivated without coworkers around, and building a routine at home took some trial and error.
Spoiler: I could. And honestly? Best decision ever.
Switching to online teaching meant I could finally set my own schedule, skip the commute completely, and still connect with students one-on-one in a way that honestly feels even more personal sometimes.
