Here's the compiled list from yesterday's conversations on X about what can be done in the city by the new minister - these are things that should be doable in 22 months to some extent at least. The questions of MPC, statutory planning, ward committees and area sabhas, etc. are beyond these and they will require government buy-in, but these things can happen administratively even without those. And I am 100% certain that there are people willing to help in every part of the city.
Insightful Video by YouTuber Bengawalk about the Road Painting Works of Bengaluru @bengawalk
Looking forward to more such ASMR style content from you 😄

We thank @GBAChiefComm for meeting Indiranagar residents & hearing our concerns on the Old Madras Road–Silk Board elevated corridor. We look forward to your support in arranging an early meeting with the B-SMILE team. Listening to citizens is how great cities are built.
Are we ready to have the conversation about how security checks in Namma Metro need to go?
1. Is a massive waste of time, increases friction, and causes burnout esp for short distance travel
2. Doesn't help security in any way. Do you know how much time a proper security check would take? Compare it with the time it takes to do checks in airports.
3. Are a drain on resources. Bengaluru's metro is the most expensive in the country. Why aren't we looking at ways to cut out frivolous expenses?
In the picture - the evening crowd in queue for the security check at the Swami Vivekananda Metro Station.
This metro station has just one entrance, and every evening there is a long queue with every person waiting for a good 7 to 8 minutes just to get in.
Imagine reaching here, tired, after work, having to remove your bag, spread your arms, it's a humiliation ritual that serves no purpose.
Years ago, Metro was proposed on Indiranagar’s 80 Feet Road and CMH Road, lined with trees. Following citizen protests, the alignment was shifted
Now, a Rs 1,300-crore flyover is proposed from SV Road Metro Station (Old Madras Road) to Silk Board via the same Indiranagar
@Lord_Shankar1 we need more options to cross indiranagar traffic, not more lanes on the same bottlenecked roads
rn there's only one road to go from indiranagar to koramangala, thats why we see traffic on the road
First they irritate people with year long white topping work and next they cutt-off the same road for flyover which God knows how many year will take to finish !!
Some one has to go court and stop this nonsense project.
Good morning Bangalore!
But that's only if your WFH. If you're heading to office anywhere in the IT corridor, you couldn't have picked a worse day.
Every one of those peaks is a Tuesday. And last Tuesday particularly was THE WORST.
