I don’t believe we're voting for the opposition due to a strong manifesto; the promises, as far as I see, aren’t fully attainable. Instead, Batswana are voting out of anger and frustration, tired of a government that has failed them. It’s not about manifestos at all.
In all honesty, whoever takes office will face a challenging first year with retrenchments, layoffs, budget cuts, stalled projects, economic tightening, policy shifts, and restructuring. Let’s not judge their credibility solely on this period, as adjustments are essential.
