@ParthVa53135321 IMVHO Su-30 replacement should be with a next gen fast stealth bomber. Because due to advancement of radar, satellite reconnissance and missiles, very large planes will be easily tracked and shot down. https://t.co/lJzfXPCBFI
@DefenseNewsIN 1. You have provided ZERO open sourced intelligence.
2. The problem is DRDO/IAF's making due to not making the deal for both mk2 and AMCA which would have been 200+ due to their indecision on finalizing mk2 and AMCA total numbers in 2010-20.
3. Now leaking news to justify delay.
@prody24445539 Can't dry kaveri be used on HLFT42 to fill the trainer requirement? We can implement weight saving measures such as air cooled AESA, less hard points? 50 kn should be more than enough. It would be Tejas mk1a class plane with more fuel than mk2. hlft-mk2 can have Kaveri+aft burner
@swaramehtaa Mig-21 and HPT-32 cannot be judged the sam way. You can eject from Mig-21. But not HPT-32. They tried fitting emergency chutes as a last ditch measure to save both pilots. But it did not work.
@alpha_defense What happened you seem to have dialed down the crazy? Still think 117s is suited for HLFT42? I'm sure @prody24445539 may have some choice words for you
@TheMilObserverr Picking F414 or 120 kn engine will ensure the fighter remains on paper. HLFT-42 should be powered by KAveri dry variant now and after burner version for the fighter. HAL need to trim down some of the superfluous stuff like opting for a air cooled AESA radar, less hard points etc.
@prody24445539 MoD and GTRE babus were hoping they can piggy back on Rafale offsets to certify Kaveri. @alpha_defense@Indrani1_Roy could confirm. But I am certain Dassalt said they can use Rafale as a testbed to certify Kaveri. In our wisdom, we scraped MMRCA and failed to hold them acountable
@SamSamsam996709@alpha_defense@prody24445539 To be frank, yes Engines should be delivered during regular intervals. But we do have enough Engines to FOC certify mk1a and deliver them to IAF. But not one mk1a have been delivered till date. Why? Is GE responsible for mk1a FOC? Is GE arm twisting IAF? Is GE arm twisting ELTA?
@SamSamsam996709@alpha_defense@prody24445539 Nobody is arm twisting India. Its just MOD/DRDO/HAL deflecting blame for their sloppy work ethic. Our currency has depriciated by 1/2 and cheap russian/chinese titanium manufacturers have been replaced by american vendors. This is RR PR work. EJ200 will cost more.
@alpha_defense If HAL/DRDO shuts door on GE, they have to work and redesign interfaces of Engine of Tejas mk2. But they will ask for a new program called Tejas mk3 and AMCA mk1a. Its better to stop Tejas mk2 at TD stage and work on AMCA mk1. HLFT-42 can easily subsitute for Tejas mk2 with Ej200
@prody24445539 Agree. FCAS and GCAP are just euro equivalents of F-22 lite. But IAF is not without blame. At the end of the day, IAF can't afford these planes should be institutional knowledge. IAF repeatedly has failed to procure Rafale and Mirage 2000 like mig-21/27 and su-30.
@prody24445539 DRDO/Rasina and HAL/IAF are just the same people wearing different ats in govt babu run system. It will be just 'pot callin the kettle black' symptom if you analyse them. The SPV at least is trying to break it. And I definitely beleive J-20 counters will come as UCAVs & intel web
@prody24445539 HAL and IAF had no problems with failures of Indian programs either. They usually defaulted to import and screwdriver from ussr/europe as their first choice. IAF officers headed HAL from 1966 to 1993 ending HF-24,73 programs because no officer suffered for closing those programs.
