St Paul proved both sides of the housing debate: legalizing MORE homes works, but making the city feel risky to investors wipes out those gains (rent control)
STP got more small-scale housing, but rent control damaged market, reduced apartment values & pushed tax burden to SFHs
@NortonMpls It's fine to not like the ad, but it's not an "AI deepfake". No reasonable person would say "that's a real video of Flanagan standing on a mountain of money holding out her hand". It's a graphic like all negative ads use.
NBA's all-time MVP winners if the award was given out to each conference (like MLB does).

Rule changes for the SpaceX $SPCX IPO:
Index providers waived the profitability requirement and cut the seasoning window from 90 days to 5.
This forces over $30 trillion in passive 401k and retirement money to buy SpaceX at IPO valuations.
Bloomberg Intelligence estimates S&P 500 funds must absorb 19% of SpaceX's float within 6 months.
Russell 1000 and Nasdaq 100 funds will absorb 24%.
The rules built to protect passive investors:
1. S&P 500 has required 12 months of trading and 4 quarters of GAAP profitability since 2002. Both waived.
2. Nasdaq cut its inclusion window from 90 trading days to 15.
3. FTSE Russell cut its to 5.
All three benchmarks are now structured to buy SpaceX at IPO pricing.
Memphis traded Jaren Jackson Jr. for a package that included a 2027 first-round pick from the Jazz that could theoretically be the No. 1 pick. That was part of the trade. And the NBA just undid it less than four months later. Now it can't even be in the top five.
Ridiculous.
The point in recognizing that MN is purple is avoiding the hubris of believing you can do whatever and still win. DFL has a one seat majority in the Senate and is tied in the House. Harris won MN by a smaller margin than Obama won Iowa in 2012. Not margins you want to play with.
The Spurs have the ball down 98-88
• Refs miss a goaltending call
• Ball goes off Chet’s foot
• They ignore the coach’s challenge request
• SGA gets free throws
• Mitch Johnson is hit with a tech
• Lu Dort and Tony Brothers laughing on the sideline
Us fans deserve better than this smh
A new poll from Impact Research, one of the foremost polling firms in the nation, finds that we’re leading in the primary by *28 points*!
And—even better—our lead jumps to *46 points* when voters learn we are the DFL endorsed candidate—so spread the word!
Impact Research’s report also notes, “Little’s support is broad and deep — he leads across every ideological group, leading among Democrats who describe themselves as very liberal (Little +36), somewhat liberal (Little +26), and moderate alike (Little +15),” and “across all demographic subgroups.”
This poll also shows our lead has grown since the February straw poll of over 5,000 CD2 DFL precinct caucus-goers, where we had a +22-point margin.
And it is consistent with the DFL CD2 Convention endorsement tally, where we won the party endorsement on the first ballot by a 42-point margin!
We’re not winning because we’ve taken easy positions. We’re winning because we’re sticking to our values, talking with everyone, and putting people first. We’re winning because of you!
This country is desperate for new, strong leadership. It’s desperate for fighters who will put people above the interests of corporations and the ultra-wealthy.
That’s why we won the DFL endorsement.
That’s why the voters of CD2 are supporting our campaign in the primary.
Summer’s here, and the August 11th primary is fast approaching. Let’s keep this momentum going and win this thing!
I am not trying to pour salt in the wound, but the Kings provided the Knicks with their Finals coach, the Spurs with their second star, after providing the Pacers with their Finals star last year after providing the Nuggets with their Finals coach in 23.
