Indus Valley Civilization: No India
Vedic tribes: No India
Mahajanapadas: No India
Maurya Empire: No India
Gupta Empire: No India
Delhi Sultanate: No India
Mughal Empire: No India
Maratha Confederacy: Still no India
British Raj: Definitely no India
India, as you know it, did not exist until 1947, created by a British lawyer drawing lines on a map and triggering one of the largest mass killings in human history.
By your logic, modern India “belongs” to:
— Pakistan (Indus Valley)
— Afghanistan (Gandhara)
— Central Asian Turkic dynasties (Delhi Sultanate & Mughals)
— Britain (who literally founded the modern Indian state)
But that’s not how belonging works, right?
So please don’t embarrass yourself lecturing anyone about “4,000 years of history” when your entire country is younger than a microwave oven, and most of your historical empires would not even recognize “India” as you imagine it today.
If you insist Taiwan never belonged to China before the Qing, then be honest:
Most of India never belonged to India before 1947.
Your own country is a British patchwork stitched together from kingdoms that spent 2,000 years invading, enslaving, and slaughtering each other, yet today you claim a single national identity with a straight face.
Amazing what colonial trauma can manufacture.
