When those of us stranded by #aircanadastrike press @AirCanada for compensation through legal channels we want an impartial judge
I get that it’s a tough situation but AC is not handling it well at all; it’s a bad look for them and @PattyHajdu
In an almost unthinkable display of conflict-of-interest, a former Air Canada legal counsel, Maryse Tremblay, will rule on whether to end job action by striking Air Canada flight attendants at the Canada Industrial Relations Board.
I get that the flight attendants were ordered back to work and refused, but that is a separate issue from Air Canada’s response:
- ‘our employees actions are outside of our control’
- you can apply for a refund
- we will not rebook you
- here’s a $15CAD meal voucher
wow, #canada is in a situation where the government can’t even bribe the citizens effectively
this bribe is a nightmare for retailers and small businesses. I guess it will make a lot of billable hours for accountants

@LinksysCares@Linksys thanks very happy to know you still have configurability
the router was ISP provided i just needed to confirm a few settings for my own hardware
next time i am shopping for network gear i’ll definitely keep you in mind, thanks!
I am using this ISP provided router like Internet Explorer, an undesirable tool used to install a friendly tool
What happened @Linksys? 15 years ago you made amazing products, now i have a toy router that requires a mobile app and permissions on my first born to configure
When compared to a station wagon do SUVs even offer “extra space” or is the primary function of the SUV suburbanite ego and auto industry profits? https://t.co/rcDQPgnC9l
There’s also the abundance of relatively inexpensive highly palatable foods and a fad based nutrition industry that effectively work against public health
Plus our species and cultures are adapted to a scarcity of food. Think “feast day”
it’s hard to get fit
The fitness industry’s need to over sell and up sell confuses the average North American into thinking they need more equipment than a good pair of walking shoes and some inexpensive dumbells to work on developing an above average physique https://t.co/zJhOGAPeLH
UK’s sense of spice is weird. You can go to nandos and get maximum “heat” and it’s basically strong paprika
elsewhere, if you get a “medium strength” english mustard, your sinuses get set on fire and you wonder what “hot” mustard is like
3/3 canadian telco cartel apologists will talk a lot about population density and legal service requirements and completely omit the fact that regulations are effectively set by the canadian telco cartel
The theatrics of the recent Bill C11 show how the cartel dominates
1/3 Understatement by @CBCNews , Canada’s telco cartel has prices so high that it is significantly less expensive for me to roam in Canada using my 🇬🇧 phone than use my 🇨🇦 phone in 🇨🇦 https://t.co/NtYPydvsxD
2/3 I pay less than £40/month ($65CAD) for unlimited everything, i used my 5G as home internet for two years, i have no extra roaming packages and it’s dramatically more cost efficient for me to use my UK line in Canada than my canadian line see screenshot
Normally on Jan 1 I post all the works that just entered into the public domain in Canada, and if you're looking for that: surprise, we get none! Our government quietly changed our copyright law from 50 years to 70 years in June. We get no new public domain works until 2043.
