Using statista, during 1920-1948:
Palestine *Muslims* went from approx 550K to 1.18M - 114% growth!!

Before you tell me that's natural growth, in other Muslim countires same time period:

Syria went from 2.2M to 3.3M - 50% growth.
Egypt went from 13M to 20M - 53% growth.
Iraq went from 3M to 5.4M - 80% growth.
Yemen went from 3.5M to 4.3M - 22% growth.
Saudi Arabia went from 2.7M to just 3M - 11% growth.

Now what's the difference between Saudi Arabia and Yemen to Egypt, Iraq, Syria and Palestine, that they showed much higher growth rate in population?

in 1920-1948 Those countries were ruled by western empires (French and British) thus many Arabs fled from places like Saudi Arabia, and went there, for a chance at a better life.
They didn't own this land either, immigrants, just like the Jews.

The 20th century has been marked by a transition from empires to states. When lucky, those states were based on the self determination of a people who share a common history, language, ethnicity, background religion and connection to a territory.

When unlucky those new states were artificially created by receding empires drawing boundaries, forcing different people to share one state, leading almost always to civil war, dictatorship, or both.

This transition has been bloody. It involved two world wars and numerous regional and civil wars. In the bloody process of empires receding and new states emerging to replace them, tens of millions of people were displaced, fleeing across newly created borders, typically to new countries with an ethnic makeup similar to their own. This was true of Hindus and Muslim, Ukrainians, Poles and Germans, Bulgarians, Greeks and Turks and Arabs and Jews. This was not unique.

What was unique is that one group only of refugees from that time and those wars were allowed to maintain themselves as endless refugees in anticipation of one day winning a war they had lost 7 decades ago.
All other refugee groups, except the Palestinians, were presented with a clear message: “it’s tough, it’s tragic, MOVE ON”. There was a clear understanding that in the most fundamental sense there is no going back - not in place and not in time (thus, there was no such thing as “a right of return”). To seek to go back would mean endless war. And so the message was forward looking and future facing. Tens of millions of refugees and displaced persons, would build new lives in the new countries to which they fled.

I don't agree with the assumption that Jews occupied the land.

And not because of originating from there, living there constantly for thousands of years, archeological proofs, holy sites, not becuase of "being chosen and promised by god" etc - Those are merely reasons why THIS land, and doesn't giving them claim to "steal" it.

This land prior to 1900 was a desolate land, as MANY famous pilgrams, like Mark Twain who visited it in 1867, have testified. By the third quarter of the 19th century, when Jews started immigrating back to "Palestine" the total population of the entire country was only 400,000. Less than 3% of today's figure. That's the same amount of people living today in the city of Tel-Aviv alone.

I don't agree they occupied because the entire land didn't belong just to the Arabs and because the Jews didn't try to forcefully take it before the war, they bought lands, and wanted to share.
And those that did own the land (British>UN) gave them that right for an equal part of the land.

About 70% belonged to the British empire, public holding of the crown as written in Government of Palestine, Survey of Palestine, 1946, British Government Printer, p. 257.

The claim by the Arabs that they owned 90%+ is false and has ZERO credible proofs. They owned 20% approx. And they were offered a much better deal than the Jews.

Jews that bought land in Palestine paid a hefty price.
In 1944, Jews paid between $1,000 and $1,100 per acre in Palestine, mostly for arid or semi-arid land; in the same year rich black soil in the state of Iowa USA was selling for about $110 per acre. Hundreds of millions of dollars were paid by Jewish buyers to Arab landowners. Official records of the Palestine Royal Commission Report show more than $20M (equivalent to approx $460M today) was paid to Arabs during 1933-1935 alone.

No Arab village was occupied/displaced by Jews before 1947 when the Arabs STARTED a war they LOST.
