@SteveFreed13@Brewers The Brewers easily have the worst stadium entrance experience of any stadium I have visited. How is it so slow here but a breeze almost everywhere else?
I hate watching guys with no speed or athleticism like Elly or Bobby Witt jr. I want to watch old school athletes like David Ortiz and Mark McGuire showcasing their speed.
Totally understand your take and didn’t mean to make this a big thing at all. I just miss the baseball that I grew up up with. Feels like the changes have eliminated speed and athleticism from the game.
I enjoyed situational strategy late in games (grew up big NL fan)..enjoyed speed and athletic ability on all the rosters creating bang/bang plays and put the defense on notice.
Think Expos (Tim Raines-young Andre Dawson-Al Oliver-Warren Cromartie) and Cardinals with (Ozzie-Willie McGee-Vince Coleman-Tommy Herr) the Phillies had Schmidt and a bunch of guys like Gary Maddox and Bake McBride.
I get the game evolves but not always for the better.
And by the way the football minds do talk about Tempo offenses and Spread Attacks like the Fun N Gun or the Air Raid. The difference in my mind is football is cyclical-what trends for a decade or so becomes old and what was old (TE’s and FB’s and your ability to win the LOS and run the ball) comes BACK to the game-and we’re seeing that now in both the NFL and CFB!
All good man, again wasn’t trying to create a controversy or have a “hot take” was simply stating what I miss about baseball and agreeing with Jorge Pasada about his take on what the game is.
IMO Launch angle and EV have hurt the game. I miss contact hitters and dudes that can FLY cause I think it creates much more action and excitement for a sport that is often dreadfully boring (and I’m a life long baseball guy).
Hope that makes sense. Just my personal take on baseball.
Not asking anyone to agree or disagree-just my take after watching alot of baseball for the last 5 decades!!
"The smaller market, lower revenue teams, in general, are the most profitable teams in baseball."
MLBPA Interim Executive Director Bruce Meyer believes it would be "eye-opening" for fans to see how much some teams profit from revenue sharing under the current system.
He always represented Milwaukee like a native, he always represented his family with integrity and was a role model to millions of kids. No matter what happens from here on out I'll always respect him and remember his time as a buck with nothing but the best memories.
@Giannis_An34 is a Bucks/Milwaukee legend and any Giannis slander will not be tolerated. He brought this city the championship it was waiting for, and the only one we may see in the foreseeable future. Build the statue, hang his jersey in the rafters, he deserves it all.
17 Young pitchers who teams see potential and are willing to work with to grow and hopefully to join their team. Not 17 washed up divas who are looking for a place to film youtube content.
17 pitchers have been signed by MLB orgs from the Atlantic League so far.
@BauerOutage has been named Atlantic League Pitcher of the Month for both April and May, being recognized as the most valuable pitcher in the league each month so far.
Fans love him.
Stadiums sell out for him.
Teammates love him.
Front offices love him.
He’s never paid a false accuser a single cent.
His false accusers both currently face criminal charges.
And the initial allegations were so BS that he was never charged with a crime, let alone even arrested on suspicion.
Make it make sense.
@notbobkoz This is an interesting point, the Jays for example, if they were under the floor while pursuing ohtani would have held off making large signings, and when he didn't sign they would have been punished for being under the floor, while also going after the largest free agent.
CC was a fucking workhorse on the mound and completely changed the trajectory of the @Brewers franchise. He's a Brewers legend even though he was only here for 3 months. He deserves every accolade the team can give him.
Didn’t matter that it was a contract year. All I cared about was the postseason and leaving it all on the field. I’ll always cherish my chapter with the @Brewers and now forever being a part of the wall of honor 🙌🏾
