The fact that some physicians seem to think simply telling a patient to lose weight, be less stressed, exercise more, etc. is at all helpful makes it clear that they know NOTHING about what it is like to be disabled or chronically ill.

@NoJesuitTricks They forget that state and country were essentially interchangeable when the US wascreated. Americans may not be well traveled to other countries but many have visited other states. And each state has its own dialect, culture and landscape that makes it unique.

100k is likely a teacher who's been teaching for decades, and nearing retirement. Also possibly within a well-funded district, where property values are high and people can afford their taxes.

@reverandglenn @InternetH0F They're being underpaid. Literally everyone except the rich/wealthy are underpaid for their labor in the US. And that's on the employers. The rich/wealthy only get that way by exploitation of low labor costs, and more.

Get paid regular wages while school is in session, and no pay during summer break.
Or they opt into the district holding a portion so they can get a lump sum at the start of break to make it through summer.
