@Silly_midoff Interesting. Before I retired I did similar things at Wymondham High Sixth form. In 2015, we had all the actual candidates address the whole VIth form,we returned a Lib Dem landslide ((Greens second) and we were over 90% remain in the referendum.
@Silly_midoff @Bobski9 Agreed. I was kind of thinking of the Super duper league as a replacement. It’s a bit like Kerry Packer and cricket when I was a boy. That breakaway thing fizzled out when the public realised there was no fun in supporting the‘unofficial’ tours.
@Silly_midoff @Bobski9 Probably true Timmo, but it is the accessibility of the European competitions, once in a blue moon the lesser teams scrape in and it’s fantastic. To know you will never get there makes it all seem pointless
It is with great sadness we must stop sending our cheese to the EU. Due to an oversight in the Free Trade deal it is impossible for us to send cheese to our EU online consumers. DEFRA has told us not to expect an exemption or change anytime soon. Investment & hope is lost today😪
@PaulSaxton Just re listened to ‘All My Loving’ a couple of times, focusing on John’s contribution. Just as Paul so often provided the drive and /or swing with his bass lines, that is exactly what John does here. Just need to go back over the other songs now.
@PaulSaxton And their cover of’You Really Got a Hold on Me’. I was going to argue it’s like your Beatles v ‘Stones position. Beatles always, but actually, there is no problem because you can have both. And they’re different. But I am with you on ‘With the Beatles’. Except for ‘Dear Prudence’
@PaulSaxton I liked the style of Wonderwheel- put me in mind of (but not a patch on) ‘Radio Days’. Liked ‘Midnight in Paris’ very much, from the recent crop.
