The nation stands with the people of Tooro in mourning the loss of His Highness Oyo. From his difficult childhood to his years of leadership, his journey was marked by resilience and service. May his memory remain a source of strength to his family, his Kingdom and all Ugandans.
Fellow Ugandans, especially the Bazzukulu,
It is with a lot of sadness that, on the behalf of all Ugandans, Maama Janet and myself, I extend our most heart-felt condolences to the Royal Family of Tooro and to all Ugandans on account of the death of the prominent Muzzukulu, His Highness Oyo, the King of Tooro at such a young age of 34. How unfair life can be!! He was orphaned while still young and he has died young.
In the short life on earth, he had shown that he had potential of working well with the Central and Local Governments to develop Tooro. What a loss to Tooro and Uganda.
Some months back, Her Royal Highness Kemigisa, Nyinomukama, came to tell me that the Muzzukulu Oyo had cancer that was very aggressive. The Government supported them to go to Germany and, then, the USA where he died.
@KagutaMuseveni Our deepest condolences to the Royal Family, the people of Tooro and all Ugandans. The revelation that His Highness Oyo leaves behind a young heir gives hope that his legacy and the rich heritage of Tooro will continue. May God strengthen the family during this difficult time.

Diplomacy must create economic opportunities for citizens. The Uganda Business Forum in Rome can showcase Uganda’s resources, enterprises and investment potential while deepening cooperation between Uganda and Italy.
This afternoon, I received the Italian Ambassador to Uganda, H.E. Mauro Massoni, at State House Entebbe.
We discussed strengthening Uganda-Italy relations, particularly in trade, investment, infrastructure and agro-processing. We also discussed the forthcoming Uganda Business Forum in Rome, which will provide an opportunity to showcase Uganda and attract more Italian investment.
I welcome him.
@KagutaMuseveni The forthcoming Uganda Business Forum in Rome is a timely opportunity to put Uganda’s investment potential before Italian businesses and investors. President Yoweri Museveni’s focus on value addition and private-sector-led growth will strengthen this partnership.
Uganda has enormous opportunities in services, manufacturing, commercial agriculture and ICT. Investments such as this show the potential of these sectors to create jobs, build wealth and position Uganda as a leading investment and tourism destination.
Today, I officiated at the grand inauguration and key handover ceremony of the Kampala Marriott Hotel and Marriott Executive Apartments in Nsambya.
I congratulate Mr. Posiano Ngabirano for growing his business from a small grocery shop in Nakasero into this major investment. This is the kind of transformation we want to see, from importing to producing and creating wealth here in Uganda.
Our development must be driven by the four sectors of commercial agriculture, manufacturing, services and ICT. I am also pleased that this investment is creating jobs for Ugandans and supporting local suppliers.
I thank our elder His Eminence Cardinal Wamala for offering the land, the Marriott International, NSSF and all those who contributed to this investment. I welcome more investors to Uganda.
@KagutaMuseveni Congratulations on this remarkable achievement. From a small grocery shop in Nakasero to a major hospitality investment is an inspiring story of determination and transformation. May more Ugandans embrace production, entrepreneurship and investment to build our economy.
The message is clear:public resources belong to the people, and those entrusted with them must be accountable.President Yoweri Museveni's emphasis on transparency, citizen reporting and decisive action is essential to protecting government programs and ensuring services reach pple
@KagutaMuseveni Going directly to the people can help expose challenges that may otherwise remain hidden. President Yoweri Museveni's call for citizens to report corruption and government officers to reject cover-ups sends a strong message that public resources must serve the people. #
Uganda’s future prosperity is closely linked to deeper regional economic cooperation. President Yoweri Museveni’s engagement with Tanzania reflects a clear focus on attracting investment, strengthening trade and turning East Africa’s shared potential into tangible opportunities.
I welcomed my son from Tanzania, Abdul Halim Hafidh Ameir and his delegation at State House Entebbe.
We discussed investment opportunities and how the private sector can continue contributing to the growth and development of our two countries.
@KagutaMuseveni Investment knows no borders when countries work together toward shared development. President Yoweri Museveni continues to champion regional economic integration and stronger Uganda–Tanzania business partnerships that create jobs and expand opportunities for our people.

The consecration of Bishop Patience is a beautiful testimony that faithful service and sacrifice are never forgotten by God. May He grant her wisdom, courage and grace as she begins this new chapter of ministry, and may He continue to bless Mama and Mzee abundantly.
Heavenly Father, we celebrate with great joy the consecration of our daughter, Patience to the office of a Bishop. We are overwhelmed with joy and thanksgiving at the great honor You have bestowed over us in choosing one of our children to serve You in this capacity. This consecration proves that You remember the faithful sacrifices of Your saints who have long since gone home to glory.
O Lord, You do not forget Your people and their sacrifices. Thank You for being a God Who remembers Your people. This also shows that You have remembered Mzee and I and our years of service to You and Your people. This consecration is a great comfort and joy to us because it shows us that You have received our service and sacrifices and are pleased with us.
@JanetMuseveni This is truly a moment of joy, thanksgiving and answered prayer. The consecration of Bishop Patience is a beautiful testimony to God’s faithfulness and a blessing to the entire family. May her ministry be guided by wisdom, humility and grace.

A beautiful family moment filled with faith, gratitude and thanksgiving. Congratulations to Bishop Patience Rwabwogo on her consecration, and may her ministry continue to be a source of hope, love and spiritual guidance to many.
Today, Maama and I were very happy to witness the consecration of our daughter, Patience , as a Bishop of Covenant Nations Churches in Uganda after 20 years of ministry.
I thank God for Maama’s recovery and salute the medical staff, as well as our children, Muhoozi, Natasha, Patience and Diana, who stood with her throughout. I also thank God for making Patience a Bishop. As I said, our family has been here for generations, and although the different religions came to our area many years ago, it was only in 1947 that Mzee Kaguta joined the Church. Today, I have a whole Bishop in the family.
@KagutaMuseveni It is wonderful to see the First Family celebrating this special moment with gratitude and joy. We also thank God for Maama Janet’s recovery and for the medical team and family members who stood by her throughout her recovery.
