OMG, listen to the Mexican announcers on team USA's 3rd goal going completely off-script
I haven't laughed this hard in a long time! "Oh my f*cking goodness" ๐
Balotelli was likely on the cusp of being one of the best number 9s ever. He was so talented when everything came together. Unfortunately it didn't always come together, and it wasn't always his fault either!
It's amazing the difference having the right personnel *healthy* and ready to go makes. Even two months ago, Poche didn't have all of this at his disposal....and the US looked underwhelming.
USA Analysis: Rotations & Runs Behind
The USA have been exceptional in this 1st Half v Paraguay and clearly very well coached by Mauricio Pochetino.
Is it a 3-4-3 or a 4-2-3-1? It's Both.
3-4-3:
> Back-3 Build
> Dest & Robinson High
> Pulisic & McKennie Roll Inside
4-2-3-1:
> 1 WB Tucks In (Robinson)
> Dest Goes Higher as a RW
> McKennie Moves into CAM
The rotations have been excellent, the runs beyond have been brilliantly timed & the passing has been positive all the time.
Really impressed by the U.S
Just as a reminder....
The main reason he's playing for the USA is because his parents were visiting the US from London when FB's mom was 7 months pregnant. Airline wouldn't allow her to return as a precaution.
So he was born in New York.
The idea that this Big Boy was rotting in a parking lot in Pomona, CA for six decades until Union Pacific rebuilt every component to get it working again is actually awe inspiring.
@WVPitt@drantbradley Right, I'm not against those theological statements. I've just been around Presbyterians long enough to know that statements and committee reports don't have real weight until: a) a change is made in our BCO/Confessions; b) discipline is carried out when put to the test.
As @drantbradley has pointed out, it's one thing for NAPARC denominations to condemn it. It's another for them to actually *discipline* it!
There is a reason "officially condemning" something is not regarded as one of the marks of a true church! But, church discipline....
As far as I understand (almost?) every NAPARC denomination has now officially condemned kinism.
There is no place for kinism in NAPARC. Full stop. No officer may hold those wicked beliefs, and we must pray for and help any members who do to grow into Christian maturity.
At least 39 times in the last 65 days, the President of the United States has declared the United States and Iran were close to a deal only to have the Iranians openly mock him and deny it.
Yesterday, the President went on Fox & Friends in the morning to declare bombings would resume and be even more ferocious. By the afternoon, he declared bombings would cease because a deal was close. He claimed buy-in from the Egyptians, the Emirates, the Saudis, the Kuwaitis, the Israelis, the Iranians, and more.
Egypt said it had no knowledge of any deal. Israel said it had no knowledge of a deal. Then FARS, the semi-official Iranian news agency that represents the voice of the Revolutionary Guard in Iran said there was no deal. Overnight, word came the Ayatollah refused a deal. Then the Iranians started firing drones at commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
The President, the other days, said Iran was playing us. The only one being played is President Trump. A state of war exists between Iran and its neighbors. The ceasefire is a farce. The President has turned into a clown.

Imagine being "offended" when a deaconess asks a man to get more goldfish for the nursery!?!?
Is this really a complaint about "order in the offices"...or just men reflecting that they don't want to serve if a woman asks them to do something?
@Tysingerlaw Asking to get more goldfish = authority over a man? Not buying it. I've been in OPC/PCA churches for 3 decades now, and these kind of men who complain like this are not testing premises.
@beingandyjones@sdesocio This was one of my great take aways from T David Gordon, what he called "Distractions from Orthodoxy" -- God's grace is unlimited...but church resources ARE NOT. Frivolous quarrels on secondary issues runs up that $5 tab, leaving 50 cents for other matters!
