"The august person of the prince requires an august body, both to surpass those he rules in all kinds of virtues, both of body and mind, and so that the external appearance of the body may indicate a beautiful and excellent mind." Keckermann
For decades, conservatives have emphasized "good manners." Good manners, civility, and "dignity" are good, of course. But when put in the service of evil and compromise, they become evil perfected.
Complete evil is doing evil under the cloak of goodness, grace, and poise.
You want good manners? Then do what is good with dignity.
today I’m grateful for @ZGroff
he’s been a constant source of encouragement to me in my ministry, even during hard times
selfless in his service to the PCA, prudent, kind, and strongly conservative
we need more like him leading the PCA!
King Alfred was a noble English King.
He divided the day and night into three parts, and spent 8 hours in study, 8 hours in prayer, and 8 hours resting and dealing with the affairs of the Kingdom.
He was distinguished as a grammarian, philosopher, rhetorician, historian, and musician.
Having defeated the Danes, he set himself to translate Christian books in libraries that the Danes had burned down.
Alfred translated Boethius' Consolation of Philosophy, and Gregory the Great's Pastoral Rule into the native tongue so that his people understood it. He was translating David's Psalms before his death.
He stirred up a love of learning among the English people.
He governed for over 29 years.
John Foxe described him as "a rare and profitable example of other Christen kings and Princes, for them to follow."
May the Lord raise up more King Alfreds in our day.
Singleness can be a gift that the Lord uses for your good and His glory.

Modern Papists aren't alone in slandering Calvin's personal character. Bellarmine did the same thing, and argued that Calvin once tried to publicly stage a fake resurrection (De Controversiis: On the Marks of the Church, ch. 14). What his source? Again, it was Jerome Bolsec - a pseudo-historian and malicious liar.
Bellarmine realizes now the seriousness of disobeying the 9th commandment: "Thou shalt not bear false witness."
"For the Christian religion consists not in the leaves of words, nor in the bark of ecclesiastical ceremonies, but in the root of reason and the kernel of truth and piety handed down in the holy Scriptures..."

"The laughter of the spiritual man. You made me, wise and mighty Creator, a laughing animal, that by pure laughter I might testify to the pure joy of my heart. But I have often laughed the laughter of this world and mocked my neighbor. This is a grave sin. For the laughter of the world is followed by the weeping of hell. And he who mocks his neighbor mocks God his creator. I acknowledge this my grievous sin. Do you therefore forgive it. Grant me the grace of your Spirit, that I may laugh at my own folly, that I may laugh at the vanity of the world, that inwardly I may laugh in holiness and leap for joy because I shall see you forever." Apparently, opponents of Calvin accused him during his lifetime of having been charged with sodomy as a youth.
Turns out, it was conflated with a Roman Catholic priest named "Jean Cauvin" who was imprisoned for this crime in 1534 in the city of Noyon. The charge against the Reformed originated from Jerome Bolsec, a notorious opponent of Calvin who wrote a pseudo-historical biography of him that is known to be fraudulent. Even some Eastern Orthodox scholars on Calvin reject the accusation and say that Cardinal Thomas Stapleton was untruthful in this regard. See Gary W. Jenkins, "Calvin's Tormentors: Understanding the Conflicts that Shaped the Reformed" [Baker Academic, 2018], pgs. 123-124.
But again, when you're a Papist in the likes of someone like Taylor Marshall, you can just lie and slander to your heart's content and get away with it (check the number of baboons that liked the post). What a fearful thing it will be for these men to give an account before Christ one day for their wicked slander of godly men.
The West has created an utterly evil state religion where an accusation of “racism” is the gravest offense that can be committed, even worse than rape or murder!
So if police show up at a crime scene and a British boy is bleeding out and an immigrant says the British boy is racist the cops will cuff the dying British boy.
“the magistracy is ordained of God and is vested with authority to promote the maintenance of human life and its development in accordance with both tables of the Law of God”
—John Murray’s report to the OPC of the “Articles on Church and State” at the Reformed Ecumenical Synod
"Under parental society are also included brothers and sisters, and likewise relatives, from whom let us take the following lessons:
1. From natural affection (στοργή), and from mutual interaction and love among blood-relatives, arises care and concern, by which one relative is troubled for the safety and welfare of another and is affected by it, and is no less concerned about those things than about his own. This holy bond of concord, which they call the bond of blood, upright relatives strive to preserve and zealously maintain. In the same way, let us consider that we are brothers, sisters, and relatives, who are held together under one head, who is God. Let us therefore love one another, and let each seek the good of the other no less than his own, and be affected and troubled by the harm of another as by his own. Thus it will come to pass that God, our heavenly Father, will fill us with infinite goods. Thus it will come to pass that we delight Him, just as we see parents filled with the greatest joy when they see their little children kissing one another, giving drink to one another, feeding one another, and leading one another about.
2. Relatives rejoice in common rights and privileges, which are called the rights of blood and the privileges of the family; to these belong the use of the same family name and insignia. So we, who are citizens of heaven, enjoy the same privileges: we have the same Father, the same homeland, the same title, and the same goods.
3. A brother desires to surpass another in zeal for imitating the virtues of the parent. So let us strive with one another to imitate our Father in heaven.
4. A good brother defends a sister as the weaker. Let us do the same, and help those who are weaker among us.
5. If brothers or sisters differ in age, dignity, and gifts given by God (θεοσδότοις), the inferior ought to render duties of reverence and respect to the superior; so it is our duty to honor those brothers who are above us in other respects being equal. But alas, brotherly affection is rare in this diseased age!""

Once again, I remind you that as long as you are not independent of the Regime, the Left side of your organization or your social spheres is not required to be winsome (wholesome). Only you, holding the Edenic fort down against the barbarians, are required to be winsome (wholesome). This article explains the what, the why, and the how.

so intimately is religion and morality connected by a natural bond, or rather by the divine constitution, with the safety and prosperity of nations
—Ashbel Green
"We have considered man as an animal; now we shall consider him as a member of some society, which in common speech is called a “state” or order of human life.
A state is either economic, scholastic, sacred (that is, ecclesiastical), or political. For these are the four chariots by which the whole human race is carried along.
Indeed, these states also belong to natural theology, or the book of nature, insofar as in them the providence of God is discerned, and various lessons are set before man concerning the knowledge and worship of God, and also the love both of himself and of his neighbor."
