@renoomokri Have said it that Tinubu should go after some of those calling for military intervention on social media and charge them for treason before things get out of hand. The case of the Tiktoker and Eniola Badmus is a clear example. Until some are made example other will not learn
NEWS: "We are here to see the level of vandalisation of the 2nd Niger Bridge... What the miscreants are actually after are the metal components on the bridge; anything metal, the miscreants are after it." https://t.co/xJoNhoJX7G
@MikaelCBernard Go and check the data before you start misinforming people name seek, 86% of our electricity generation comes from fossil and gas. Stop misinforming people
Nwakaego Okoye, the lady who was convicted yesterday and sentenced to three years imprisonment pleaded guilty to the charge of cyberstalking following a complaint by actress, Eniola Badmus.
Three years imprisonment is the maximum punishment prescribed by law by virtue of Section 24 of the Cybercrime Act.
The law also gives the court the discretion to impose a fine as an option to a custodial sentence.
In this case, Hon. Justice Oweibo, following the plea of guilt by the defendant, imposed the term of imprisonment prescribed by law and in his discretion, gave her an option of N150,000 fine as reported by Punch Newspaper.
Since the lady was represented by a counsel, and she pleaded guilty to the charge voluntarily, there is nothing that we can do about it. We cannot fault the judge. I believe the judge was actually lenient for giving her an option of a minimal fine. She should be able to pay it immediately and regain her freedom.
However, politicians, influential people and other celebrities should not see the outcome of this particular case as a license to deploy the police arbitrarily against people who criticize them. We have to look at every case based on its peculiar facts.
It is also important for people to desist from willfully spreading falsehood on the internet against others. Do not tweet or post what you know is clearly false just for clout. Actions have consequences.
@OttoFlynn4@Spotlight_Abby Neither am I here to devalue anyone cos everyone has something to offer and that must be respected. All am saying is that we can’t all claim to be expert in everything. That’s why we have several thousands of specialisations
@OttoFlynn4@Spotlight_Abby GDP is the value of finished goods and services produced annually while GDP growth rate is yr-o-yr comparison the value of goods and services. When you factor in population, then you talk of per capita GDP which can show income level. GDP is an important economic indicator
@ruffydfire Rufai, I worked in the bank for almost 15 years and saw how we defended the naira with billions of dollars, it never worked. It Created round tripping, hording of export proceeds, over invoicing, etc. It never worked
@Spotlight_Abby I think you guys should stick to what you know and leave what you don’t know to those who know. Once someone says something contrary to your expectations it is rubbish meanwhile a lot of you guys doesn’t have either the textbook or practical knowledge of the topic
@OttoFlynn4@Spotlight_Abby While Rotus is a graduate of economics, Rufai is a graduate of animal anatomy and physiology. You call data on GDP and exchange rate dull??? Really???
Please take a little time to read this old piece from Obi's kinsman, @OkeyNdibe, about his stewardship as Anambra governor and you won't be shocked one bit about the Peter Obi you're seeing today, he lives and breathes for the camera, lies and propaganda

@EtinwaOkpo@Sports_Doctor2 I disagree. The politicians will make the mess but we will continue to shout and some day we will get it right. You can’t try to even shout on the military without consequences.
