@davidsonsucks@bedsymania With the Rangers, he had 12 points in 19 games. Guarantee you that would have changed some outcomes in Chicago had he stayed. And zero shot he would have shut himself down. Critiquing Davidson is fine, but at least make them somewhat logical. This argument is anything but.
@davidsonsucks@bedsymania Except it would have. Blackhawks finished third worst in 2022, winning the lottery in 23. Keeping Kane past the deadline most likely changes that.
As for DeBrincat, trading him essentially kickstarted the rebuild. So, again, keeping him changes the outcome.
@mrAceBones Except it seems like you’re using hindsight as an excuse.
2023 is bedard. Anything before is not relevant as he wasn’t here yet
24, yes they drafted lev. But also tried to get demidov. Didn’t work.
25, they get Frondell, who could be it. Only seen a handful of games.
Except, he won’t be the highest paid defenseman for much longer. the cap is increasing at a rate that will make it irrelevant. The 4th overall won’t be in the league until minimum 3 years. Forwards are getting insane deals too. Just the way of the NHL nowadays.
Bowen Byram. The highest paid defenseman in the NHL, which also cost the most premium trade piece of the offseason.
What an absolute failure by Kyle Davidson. And just to preempt all the “you don’t know puck,” morons, if this is your standard for the Hawks GM, raise it.
Hmmm, stenberg was taken 2nd overall after they won the second lottery. They traded William Ecklund to get to 9 and the draft fell that way.
What a dumb take.
Chicago: You simply MUST trade the 4th overall pick at this stage of the rebuild!
San Jose: {drafts Ivar Stenberg and Keaton Verhoeff after trading for a second top-10 pick}
"[Gavin McKenna] came out and established his offensive game. He made plays. He's a game breaker."
@KevinWeekes anticipates Gavin McKenna being the No. 1 draft pick 🇨🇦
@schafer_von@Kyky0909@yolo_pinyato In no world whatsoever is Crevier going to be a top 4 defenseman.
Byram was also behind Dahlin and Makar his entire career. Those are arguably 2 of the top 5 d guys in the entire NHL, so why put him above them?
Knies was rumored for 4OA and Frondell. Absolutely not worth that.
@other_st_nick Back? Absolutely not lol. But they’re playing much better baseball than the past couple of seasons. Combined with the first overall pick, a top 5 farm system, I honestly see the Sox competing relatively soon. Maybe not next season, but 2028
@mrAceBones First, Lev is poised to be a top pairing D man who’s only 20 years old. Takes defensemen longer to develop than forwards. Comparing him to a winger is useless Also Boisvert has played only a handful of games. Hage hasn’t played any. Can’t judge a GM based on this small sample
@MLFootball Or, they used it to draft their franchise/ All-Pro RT and used that extra fourth to facilitate another trade to get Keenan Allen, who then left after one disastrous season that allowed the bears to get Ben Johnson. This is bait, and I fell for it
