@DumbMoneyHunter not losing isn't equal to gaining ) usually, breakeven stops can spoil your expected value. Have you analyzed - how many of your trades were closed by breakeven before running in your forecasted direction?
I'd say, partial close is a much better choice...

my rule do day trades - no breakeven stops allowed, only partial position fixing.
if the trade made 2x per risk, I take 30-50% off, leaving stop beyond the initial zone.
