JUST IN: Cointelegraph is the largest crypto media company in the world. They are now becoming a MultiversX validator. 🔥
That's the strongest signal media can send, putting reputation on the line to secure a chain.
FRESH OFF THE PRESS: MULTIVERSX/EGLD IS GOING AGENTIC 🔥
Let me tell you a story about the internet’s biggest missing piece.
Back in the 90s, the architects of the web reserved a specific error code: HTTP 402. You know 404 means "Not Found." Well, 402 was supposed to mean "Payment Required."
They dreamed of a web where value flowed as easily as information. But the tech wasn't ready. So, for thirty years, that code sat dormant. A ghost in the machine.
Until today. On MultiversX, the ghost just woke up.
The Economy You Can't See [Yet]
We tend to think of the "digital economy" as you buying sneakers on Shopify or subscribing to Netflix.
That is a good starting point, but it will soon be eclipsed by a new economy. This new economy, the one that will dwarf everything we know today, isn't humans buying things. It’s machines paying for humans, and machines paying machines.
Take an AI agent. It needs to get some tasks done for you. For now it just asks for your credit card, but that doesn't scale. That payment method was created for human, not agents. It's "autonomous".
Consider a second agent:
- It pings the shop you want to buy from.
- It gets the and makes the payment.
- It delivers the result to you.
Now multiply that by billions of agents, executing billions of transactions, 24/7/365. That is a GDP layer that currently doesn't exist. It is the "Agent Economy," it's the thing taking shape right as we speak. And hey, this it is going to be wildly, incomprehensibly massive.
Today, this infrastructure is no longer theoretical. The x402 implementation for MultiversX is LIVE NOW.
The internet has evolved from a library where we read and write, to a market where humans and machines can own and trade at scale.
The rails are laid out and ready.
Agents don't just chat anymore, now they pay.
On MultiversX, with EGLD.
Rebuilding Elrond, The Great Transition
We are approaching what feels like one of the most trajectory-altering milestones in our brief history. Not just for the network, or for the ecosystem. But for every single person who has believed, built, or simply held on.
Over the past weeks, I've had the same conversation, in different forms, almost every day. Some brief. Some deeply illuminating. But all circling the same gravitational center: what is the thing that recaptures attention, ours and the world's, and puts us back at the frontier?
The first conversation has been with the team. Watching them build this new engine that has emerged, slowly, painstakingly, and then almost at once. There are two ways to look at it. One is technical, studying the system, the code, the architecture, appreciating the years of effort compressed into something objectively and fundamentally better. The second way is simpler, more immediate, almost visceral: execute a simple transaction on “the old MultiversX architecture”. Then execute the same simple transaction on Supernova. If you have the eyes to see it, that moment right there, is staggering.
Observing both, the meticulous building and then the results, that somehow still surprise me. You understand that something foundational has changed, and this time, you can really feel it. This week, we are closing in on the last known bugs, preparing for a final wave of specialized chaos testing before the public battles begin. A refreshing milestone.
To come back to the question, this new Supernova experience provides the first and strong answer. One that reshapes what users, builders, and investors weigh when they look at a project like ours. A new standard for speed. For scalability. For resilience. For what it actually feels like to use a blockchain. This is Supernova.
The second conversation took me through the same point, but from the opposite angle. We revisited the same question with a long-time investor, someone who has been part of Elrond, then MultiversX, through all the seasons. Once I showed him Supernova in practice, something shifted. He saw it differently. So much so that he found this great moment to take the opportunity and add a significant new position to his EGLD stake.
The Elves are, slowly, coming back.
People who have been here for years, the good years and the difficult years, are returning to look with fresh eyes at everything that has been built. While markets have been brutal across the board, taking a close look at this sometimes excruciating progress is humbling.
It opens a different perspective on what now becomes possible.
A good moment to pause. Take a closer look. Test the new experience. Let it become what it was always meant to be: a rebirth.
Supernova.
The moment is here.
The Battle of nodes begins.
100k prize on the line. For builders, validators, infra ops and power users.
A race to the finish line.
To Supernova, and beyond! ☄️
Our mission is simple: make $EGLD and @MultiversX known to the world through @X. Not everyone can be a builder, but everyone can push the story.
We are so close to the moment everything explodes. Stay vocal, stay active, and let’s make the 100x happen together. 🚀🔥 #EGLD #MultiversX #Crypto #Altcoins

@MultiversX
Spent a few intense days with the team.
12-14 hours, back to back. Till exhaustion.
Fully focused on Supernova, and a new genesis moment, bringing new growth to EGLD.
Will say this. Mind blown about Supernova. 🔥
Just a damn good day for science.
Massive amount of effort has been put into this new Barnard upgrade by the team.
Hundreds of hours. Relentless effort. Obsessive, repeated iteration. Back and forth. Back and forth. Moving with care and meticulousness. Turning every stone. Build. Break. Test. Break again. Test. And test. And test. Until you literally can't hear it anymore.
But, it's truly unique to see good work stacking. Accumulating. Filling up. Slowly getting into the right place. Reaching the final step.
That rare moment, when everything finally clicks into place. And then it's DONE. Really done.
No more drafts. Just DONE.
It’s raw. Simple. Fleeting.
But it hits hard.
One of the good moments and joys of life.
A instant of creation, where something real has shifted. Where things are no longer the same.
A checkpoint. A milestone. Meaningful.
Better. Sharper. Tighter.
Barnard is here. ❤️🔥
1%. Maybe a whole lot more.
Godspeed.
All systems green.
The Barnard Upgrade is ready.
Our second major release after Andromeda unlocks protocol-level governance, enhances developer primitives, and lays the groundwork for the upcoming Supernova upgrade.
Mainnet activation is on July 24.
We're proud to join @DeRecAlliance, an initiative spearheaded by some of the most prominent U.S.-based blockchains—@Cardano, @Ripple, @Algorand, and @hedera—to define and promote a decentralized, open-source, and quantum-resistant recovery standard for digital secrets.
Barnard is here.
Few days to a big public upgrade. 🔥❤️
Another intense cycle.
Another big milestone reached.
Months of deep work, now becoming real.
Some thoughts from Robert on why Barnard matters.
Do the 1%.
It matters more than you think.
