This PERFECTLY explains why ‘The Left’ is obsessed with being morally superior
“Did you ever ask yourself why it's always the weakest, least competent, and average IQ people who base their entire identity on morality and tolerance?”
Here’s the psychology behind it:
“Every human being carries the same deep drive to matter, to be respected, to reach something external, whether that's money, status, an attractive partner, or genuine skill at something. In the real world, all of these get measured through competence, strength, and intelligence, and that's exactly the problem for people who fall short on those measurements.
They still feel the drive, but they can't reach the goal, at least not to the degree others can, and unconsciously they experience the inferiority that comes with actual objective inferiority.
To avoid feeling useless and insignificant, they move the target. Instead of competence, the goal becomes being a good person, a goal defined entirely by them that requires no measurable skill, no competition, and no real work to declare victory in. This gets them the exact same feeling of accomplishment without ever having to develop any of the competence that would normally be required to earn it.
That's the path the weak and the incapable take because it's the only game left where they can still call themselves winners.”
You could spend 1000 years trying to come up with a better explanation for liberals and their mindset and you wouldn’t be able to, because this is it
If you fail at everything else, you simply make your entire life about being “morally superior”
This emerging industry is doing what software companies are supposed to do: compete and improve products rapidly. My view is, we should treat this as normal human progress and avoid moral, regulatory, and geopolitical panics over AI.
Three years of waking up in Dubai and the thing I appreciate the most is how nothing happens.
Cars aren’t burning overnight. The ministry isn’t under investigation for fraud. Riot police aren’t on the news while I’m making coffee. Just sunrise and a quiet city that’s been quietly working for years.
In the West that level of calm sounds like stagnation. Here it’s the whole reason people move.
The countries where everything is on fire every morning are countries where nothing ever gets finished. Pick the boring one. 🇦🇪
Three years in Dubai has taught me something nobody ever wrote on a Western opinion page.
The whole “you need democracy to be free” thing is a marketing campaign.
What you actually need is a government that does its job. Streets that work. A bank that doesn’t treat you like a suspect for earning money. Schools that teach. Hospitals that heal. Police that show up. Borders that filter. A passport that opens doors instead of closing them.
The West sold the world on the idea that voting every 4 years for two interchangeable parties was the highest form of human freedom. Meanwhile the country they called authoritarian built the cleanest, safest, most efficient city most of these critics will never see in person.
Freedom isn’t a ballot. It’s the ability to walk home at 1 AM, raise your kids in peace, run a business without getting punished for it, and live a life the people in charge don’t actively try to make harder.
Dubai has more of that than London, Paris, Berlin, San Francisco, and Toronto combined right now. The voters in those cities can vote all they want. They’ve been voting themselves into a slower decline for a decade.
I didn’t move here for the weather. I moved here because this was the first place I lived where the country was actually on my side. 🇦🇪
NOBODY tells you the real reason people move to Dubai.
It’s not the taxes. Everyone leads with the taxes because it’s the easy answer. The real reason is quieter and harder to admit.
It’s that for the first time in your life, the country is on your side.
You spend 30 years in the West being treated like a suspect. Your bank watches you. Your government taxes you and resents you for earning it. The news tells you that wanting to be successful makes you the problem.
Then you land here and something flips. The bank wants your business. The government wants you to build. Nobody looks at your wealth like you stole it. Nobody makes you apologize for working hard.
You don’t realize how heavy that weight was until somebody takes it off your back.
That’s the part the haters will never understand. They think people move here to dodge a tax bill. People actually move here to stop feeling like a criminal for doing well.

Everything that's wrong with modern software can be summed up in two words:
"Unnecessary Complexity"
Programming languages, project structure, build systems. libraries, performance, team structure, all suffer from this.
Unnecessary complexity affects most human activities. Just look at politics and the legal system. We try and solve every problem by adding something new which just adds another set of problems. But programming has a particular problem because programmers usually self select for enjoying complexity. We enjoy being able to understand something complex and get it working. We are engineers of probably the most complex structures humans have ever created.
Because of this it's our job to fight complexity where ever we can. There will always be complex problems where we do need to flex our brains, but everywhere else we need to strive for simplicity. Complexity is the enemy of good software.
Building a globally competitive industrial base at scale demands the right ecosystem.
With advanced manufacturing, expert talent, and uninterrupted production, EDGE has built a foundation designed for export, delivering sovereign capabilities made in the UAE to the world.
Never Forget...when skate parks were filled with sand to make them unusable during COVID mandated lockdowns.
Never forget how they treated us, locked us down & ruined outdoor parks to keep us inside.
Ordinary fools are all right; you can talk to them, and try to help them out. But pompous fools—guys who are fools and are covering it all over and impressing people as to how wonderful they are with all this hocus pocus—THAT, I CANNOT STAND! An ordinary fool isn’t a faker; an honest fool is all right. But a dishonest fool is terrible!
Let me be honest about Dubai.
No income tax. Zero. You keep everything you earn.
Safest country on earth - Numbeo 2025. Crime index 16. London is 45. Paris is 50.
Sun 365 days a year. The city never sleeps. Infrastructure that makes European capitals look like they’re still in 2005.
You can build a company in a free zone with 100% foreign ownership and zero corporate tax on most structures.
World-class hospitals. Best malls. Restaurants from every corner of the planet. You want a Michelin-starred dinner at midnight - done.
Every major crypto exchange, fund, and Web3 company is setting up here. The ecosystem is real.
And the people? 200 nationalities living in the same city. Nobody cares where you’re from. Only what you’re building.
People ask me why I came back here after the recent situation.
The question should be - why would I leave?
There is no better city on earth right now for someone who wants to build, earn, and actually live well.
That’s not marketing. That’s just the reality of living here.

Despite what you might have read online, Dubai is perfectly fine. The sky isn’t falling and the buildings are not ablaze. The streets aren’t dead and it’s business as usual for the millions who live in this great city, in the UAE.
