@doozyfab@xGPhilosophy Against wolves same thing happened. Shot hit woodwork and was bouncing out. Bart V was trying to make a save but instead of bouncing clear it hit him in his attempt to make a save and went it the goal.
@henrywinter Wait until you see they have picked the relegation threatened spurs full back over last year’s prem winner who moved to Madrid and not picked 3 of the top scoring English players in premier league because someone from Saudi is going!
@premierleague Has a team ever had a chance to get into any or none of the champions league, Europa league or conference league on the last day of the season before? Pretty amazing Brighton could qualify for any of the comps but might miss out completely.
I wonder if @OptaJoe have records of any other team going into the last day of the season with a chance of getting into champions league, Europa league, conference league or none of them. That feels unique for #bhafc to me.
@Davidsani60@David_Ornstein@Dan_Sheldon_@mjshrimper@TheAthleticFC It is not a “scouting infraction” it is calculated cheating that breaks a very specific rule. You sign up to the rules when you enter a competition. Try playing an ineligible player in the FA cup. You get kicked out for an admin error.
@Davidsani60@David_Ornstein@Dan_Sheldon_@mjshrimper@TheAthleticFC It didn’t send a clear message because saints still did it. They got a fine for not breaking a rule. Once you have a rule they need serious sanction. How can they get anything but kicked out when cheating helped them win. Same as drugs in the olympics. Cheat you are out.
@Davidsani60@David_Ornstein@Dan_Sheldon_@mjshrimper@TheAthleticFC No it’s not. Drink driving was not illegal when my grandad was around. Now it is (rightly). There was not a rule when Bielsa did what he did - which was also wrong. But once there are rules then you need proper consequences. A fine would be not punishment when getting 200 million
Southampton captain Taylor Harwood-Bellis appeared to mock a Middlesbrough player with a binoculars celebration amid allegations that Saints were spying on Boro training before their play-off clash 😬
I don’t think I have ever wanted a team to chuck away a title more than the billion quid time wasting modern day posh man’s stoke city in the VAR supported gunners. Some inexplicable calls gone their way this season and that havertz one is another on the list!
@jackalbion96 To punish someone for fouling someone because they are being fouled. Oh. Another one that went arsenal’s way. Still can’t believe Wieffer didn’t get a pen for rugby tackle on him vs them.
@henrywinter Going down the legal route would never work. For example, Brighton could miss out on Europe because of the wrestle from Arsenal which was acknowledged as missed by VAR. other teams will have the same. Arsenal benefitted a few times and city missed out on some. Legal won’t work
@LandL0rd03@__Danny_Collins@BerenCross Just saying what was going on. I guess the banter line fits with what is alleged to have gone on at yorks ccc. Times move on 👍
@__Danny_Collins@LandL0rd03@BerenCross There was also about holding hands. The easiest way for them to spot the people involved was all the limp wrist hand gestures. Been to Newcastle, Man U, Liverpool and Burnley in 2026 and none of this stuff exists there anymore. Leeds need to get with the times!
@simongerman600@Benpagelondon@jburnmurdoch I can’t help but think that the global credit crisis might also have had an impact. This all looks a bit like assumed causation to me.
@henrywinter I think the problem is trying to use the tech for laws not designed for tech. A fast flowing game is now being refereed by still images and it doesn’t work. You could have best officials using it but it still won’t work and huge rubbish delays.
Every single Arsenal outfield player was holding or rugby tackling a West Ham player. One West Ham player touches the goalie and it is a foul. Arsenal have spent all season cheating at corners but no one can touch them. Absolute joke of a decision. #whuars get rid of VAR.
