We welcomed our Master of Arts in Digital Journalism students back on campus for their in-person session. Looking forward to seeing how the week unfolds and how students engage with everything lined up for them.

Journalism education today: Embracing change, affirming the basics, and shaping the future.

At the African Journalism Education Network Roundtable and Adenauer Media Lecture, hosted by the University of Media, Arts and Communication in Accra, Ghana (@unimac_gh) , Dean @nabooker moderated a panel discussion of journalism educators and newsroom leaders on keeping journalism curricula relevant, agile and future-facing.

The session highlighted the importance of remaining true to the principles of journalism while innovating and finding new forms of storytelling as educators prepare the next generation of journalists. This year’s meeting brings together journalism educators from 16 countries.
