Rosie O’Donnell was heckled and booed by crowds at LaGuardia as she tried to make her way through the airport. “Go back to Ireland” was the loudest and most repeated chant from New Yorkers who haven’t forgotten that she bailed on the country because she didn’t like a politician.

Several people interviewed said they felt genuinely betrayed. Brooklyn Assemblyman Jeb Narroo called it a cowardly thing to do — she left when things didn’t go her way and now has the nerve to come back.

O’Donnell learned the hard way how much her own hometown despises her on her first trip back since late 2024. The people of New York haven’t forgotten, and they’re not interested in welcoming her home.

She chose to renounce America. The country chose to move on without her.
